Default Question for the ladies; should I initiate contact again?

Girlfriend of 2 yrs an I broke up for stupid reasons, a couple days ago. We broke up about 3 times before and always got back together. This wasnt a bad breakup-nothing bad happened. We love each other. She loves me more than I love her. She complains about how I dont make her feel wanted, how I never come onto her (sexually) and some other things. I had some problems with her also.

We havent talked for two days (yes, not a big deal, I know). She is getting surgery tomorrow. A day before we broke up, she told me that "it would be nice if you at least called me after my surgery to see how I am".

Now, should I call/text her later on that day of her surgery and ask her how it went/how she is feeling? I feel like I am stupid for asking this.

Thanks for any advice!

You are stupid for asking this. After that amount of time you're still friends deep down.

Would you ring your friends after surgery?

Mmmm.... thought so.

Clearly I'm not a lass, but I think you should text her before her surgery saying you will ring her later and wishing her luck & all that kinda thing, then ring her after.

Absolutely you should. You would be a jerk if you didn't.

Well, the flowers thing would be great if we were together, but I dont want to overdo it.

Like I said, it was a stupid question but I simply wanted other opinions. Thanks again.

Whoa. Dude, hold on. Everyone in this thread so far is an absolute moron for giving you that advice. Shit, how can you guys be that irresponsible? You're going to get this guy heart broken.

Dude, I've been in that exact situation before, it is almost definitley a trap. Yeah, it sounds reasonable, like something any decent human being would do, but you know, once you're there it's just an excuse for her to bitch about the surgery and how the operation was terrible. And you'll be expected to feel sympathetic to her!

And once she's got you with the sympathy, that's the end man. Game over. Because she'll manipulate you so that you look like you actually care (which you do) but she'll take it in a completely inappropriate way, and take it as a signal that you're going to get back together. And you know what'll happen then? Because she's seen the way you react, she's just going to keep going and getting surgery every time you dump her.

And who do you think is going to pay for that?

You. You'll get sucked in and it's an endless cycle man. You gotta realise what you're getting yourself into. Surgery is expensive, and if she's just going to go and blow all your money on operations so that you'll like her again, well, you'll be living in the gutter pretty soon man. And then she'll leave you because you have no money left for surgery. But then, you'll be like "Ha! I know the perfect way to get her back!" (because that's all you care about because you've become dependant on the surgery cycle). And you'll wait in the street until an ambulance comes by, and you'll jump out in front of it, like you were crossing the street or whatever.

And then you'll be in hospital, but no one will come to see you because she's moved on, and you'll see her in the ward next to yours on the way out. But when you do man, don't go in. Because that's another trap. But that trap can be avoided, if you just avoid this trap.

So I hope you realise, you can never see her again.
