I recently purchased a bag of dried blue lotus plants, but for some reason they are a dark black color. Nonetheless I tried some of it, and it has little to no effects. The most I got was a slight headache from smoking it. Any ideas on what could be wrong, or if these are the normal effects?

first of all most of the botanicals you buy are the wrong type and they mostly suck.

Second of all you probably got foliage or some type of blue lily(which is completely ineffective).

The only thing worth it, it the blue lotus petals, those are used as a smoke or seeped in wine.

It's normal to be blackish colored. Dried flowers don't stay their normal color.

Your experience sounds typical for blue lotus. Blue Lotus doesn't get you high or produce any kind of euphoria. Some people claim it's as strong as MDMA or better than pot, but I think they're all having a placebo effect. In my experience, the effects are about as noticeable as caffeine or ibuprofen is. Just a light relaxed feeling.

It should be used to "take the edge off" but not to experience any profound effects.

your doing something wrong... blue lotus will fuck you up if you dont feel anything off it there is something seriously wrong with you and you need to kill yourself

don't smoke it straight. smoke the flowers, the petals and stamens and inner bits and stuff, not the leathery leaves, and mix it about half and half with weed.

It has some definite effects, it is good for potentiating other drugs.

blue lotus is fun assuming you get fresh product from a reputable vendor not someone like ias. like said above best if using flowers and smoked or in wine. if you do kratom i definitely recommend trying the blue lotus with it (smoked). effects are very pronounced on kratom.
