Making Cani butter, should I add more weed?
I've already put in 2 grams of some good quality bud, should I add more? I'll add trip report later, it's cooking on the stove right now.

It turned out really good. I'm eating it now with jelly on toast. The flavor really captures the true essence of marijuana, I am rather impressed. I can tell I am going to be ripped. I used 3 grams of finely ground bud, and about 7 tsp of butter.

Yeah, he will if he ate it all at once. I think olive oil works better than butter.
I ground up the amount of bud id normally put in a joint and mixed it with some olive oil, mashed potato and oysters with some cheese and peppers. 3 hours later I was way too stoned. Much more stoned than I would be from a joint and I went to bed around 10pm and woke up around 5AM still extremely stoned. Wore off almost completely about 6 hours later.

Re: Making Cani butter, should I add more weed?
The think I don't like about eating pot is the pot itself. It is like eating hay in what ever you put it in. But I've got that mostly taken care of now. You've heard of Sun tea? Well I make Sun oil.
I take a couple of mason jars and I pretty much fill it with weed [I get cuttings from friends who grow for the medical clubs around here. So I use more than you would if you were using just buds]. I grind up the pot. I then add veggie or Olive oil until it fills the jar.
I then leave the jars in the sun for about a week or so. I then use the oil for everything from spaghetti sauce to brownies.

I had about 2.5 grams of shake at the bottom of a bag, and I decided to eat it. I had never tried weed before then. I was high for almost two days. It was more of a trip than a high, with closed eye visuals, a lot of dizzyness. It felt like an acid trip for my body, and was about as intense, minus the visuals. I defiantly did not have fun as the side effetcs were numerous. Nashua, cottonmouth, I slept 18/24 hours a day two days in a row. Impossible to form thoughts ad keep them there for very long. Conversations were difficult.
Not something I'll be repeating anytime soon.

It took about an hour and a half to kick in fully, but man was a fried. I could feel it after I took the first bite. Next time I'll probably just eat 1 gram that was too much. I feel like I'm going to throw up now. I can still taste it and I think I'll have an aversion to the taste for a while till I forget. Next time cookies or brownies so I can't taste it. Fuck it I'm going to blaze more and see if I feel better.

How much weed did you put in the jar in ratio with the oil? Thanks Meta

Nice recipe. How much is cooking with the stuff gonna make my kitchen smell? Like is it minor or is it gonna completely wreak like when I make cannabutter?

Re: Making Cani butter, should I add more weed?
i tend to strain the pot out of the oil/butter to the best of the tools at my disposal. it really is a shitty hay/straw texture in whatever your consuming...

Re: Making Cani butter, should I add more weed?
Why do you preteens hop on meta's nuts and brown nose him when you could just google for the recipe? Leaving the bud/oil mixture in the sun isn't going to do anything magical, it's just something meta prefers. It'll actually degrade potency slightly and alter the type of high you get from it. Not that it matters, most people won't be able to tell there's much of a difference, but it isn't a magic recipe.
That's why some people keep their bud in the dark though and don't dry it in the sun, cause it preserves as much thc as possible and just gives you a different kind of smoke that some people prefer.
If you dislike the taste then you should just get some good buds and a grinder with a screen for trichomes. Collect the trichomes and add those to the oil, leave it in the dark for a few days or heat the trichome/oil mixture for a few hours. This would be a bit easier than straining the plant matter and it'll be a lot more potent.
