i've been reading s&a for a long time, and while i realise that the s&a reader is typically male, a common theme among threads is how hard it is for men to get a new girlfriend and how easy it is for a girl.

why do you think that is? if the population is roughly 50/50 male female, why do guys have so much difficulty getting a girlfriend if girls can get guys so easily (apparently...)?

Throughout almost every society, sex is seen as a commodity that women have and men seek. So men naturally have to pursue women, and be aggressive. For example, what you will find is that when the percentage of men as part of the total population decreases the teenage pregnancy rate increases, and vice versa. This is because when men are scarcer, women have to use more desperate means to keep them(ie, giving them sex with less commitment in return). Basically, men being less able to readily find sexual partners gets down to men being the dominant ones in society. Men have to pursue, because that is the masculine thing to do. The weak(those that lack physical attractiveness, social status, etc.) are thus left behind in this race. Remember that men are more often geniuses and retards on IQ tests, with more women scoring average than men scoring average. It just gets down to men being the thinkers and people of action. So the burden of pursuing the opposite sex is left to them as well.

True on the one side but bulshit on the other. Fucking some of these girls christ man...horny as shit and you wouldnt know it, because if your not "desired" by her she wont feel that way towards you. That's exactly what I was going to say: It's basic biology, and just plain common sense. If a girl is going to have a baby, biologically speaking, it's a nine month investment, so she has to be sure she's getting the best genes. For a man, it's a 20 minute recovery time investment, so if he has sex with an infertile woman (I.e., a fuggo) no probs, it's 20 mniutes reload time.

Well, it's pretty simple, really: Biology. Many people explained the evolution of it before me, so I don't need to explain that. The basic psychology is that women need an emotional connection to get off whereas men need a physical and visual connection.

Further: it's not necessarily easy for either of us to "get" each other. It's easy for women to get laid, but we're both equally screwed when it comes to a relationship.

This is no theory, this is just fact

Girls have just as much of a chance getting guys to like them than guys have doing the opposite. However unlike girls, guys are much more willing to fuck without a relationship than girls are, so girls therefore have an easier time finding a guy to just have sex with.
