i have a great boyfriend, we've been together since late '06. We are currently in a long distance relationship so i only see him every couple of months.

every once in a while, i have dreams about other guys. now, even in the dream i feel extremely guilty and tell the guy in my dream i have a boyfriend etc. but when i wake up, i still feel terribly guilty.

do you think this is a bad sign about my relationship or just my libido playing up in my dreams?

i dream I'm having sex with women all the time....and its never my GF.

It's probably just your libido playing up. Dreams are just that, they don't have to MEAN anything.

I hate those sorts of dreams, I have them too and I always feel really guilty, but it's like.. I didn't DO anything and I didn't WANT to have this dream but I still feel like I've done something so incredibly wrong.

I'm not sure I know exactly wheat you're getting at. Perhaps the only thing I can think of is that some males do get chastised around here for being promiscuous idiots. As far as people coming to the defence of females under attack for having sex, or in this case dreams of sex (hence I do not understand why you even brought up this particular topic, she hasn't actually done anything and it's an androgynous issue, perhaps you've taken the opportunity to bring this up simply because the OP is female?) well, yes, I've noticed girls do get a fair rap.

and for the record, i've never cheated on a guy (and i have a very severe perspective on what constitutes as cheating - anything i wouldn't feel comfortable doing if my partner was standing next to me is cheating, in my mind).

I've been having recurring dreams about getting back with my ex only to wake up and want to punch walls. Do I want her back? No, and to some degree yes but only because of the good memories, but in my general daily waking life, no it doesn't sound like a good idea. I look at these dreams as representations that I want to find and be with someone.

Just like I'm sure you don't want to cheat on your bf when you're awake.
