My brother has two small bags of it. We know it has to be boiled but we don't know just how it's to be done. He's worried that boiling will ruin the mescaline. How much water should be used to boil it?

I know there are some extraction guides on erowid. I think they are for san pedro but they should all be under psychadelic cacti or something similar.

How much are the 'two small sacks'? I'm assuming it's just powdered cactus meat so be warned potency varies a lot by cacti age, where it grew, and a bunch of other variables. I know some people report eating an ounce and having an eight hour ego-shattering experience. I ate an ounce once and didn't feel shit.

If you're going to go for it definitely do an extraction as the powdered cactus meat is hands down the nastiest thing I've ever eaten. Makes fresh mushies taste like butterfingers.

Instead of boiling it, simmer it. All in all, it's quite heat resilient, I wouldn't worry too much about the heat factor.

As far as how much water to use, that would depend on how much material you're talking about.

In general you want enough water to cover the material and extra.

you dont HAVE to boil it. you can just parachute it all...but it takes a long time and tastes like ass. but it works! oh boy does it work...

I've done Peruvian Torch around 20 times, honestly, and if I have the powdered kind, I usually just put it in some Ice-Tea and drink it. It's really not to bad, you just gotta drink quick. You don't need to make the whole 'tea' stuff unless you're going for the 'cliche' spiritual/indian type method.

If you're looking for the tea method, just use as much water as you want to drink. That's what I've personally always done. However, remember your ratios to determine your dosages. However much water is to however much mescaline unless it collects at the bottom - so stir it up. :D
