So when people say this to me it always kinda annoys me. It makes me feel cute (the baby faced toddler kinda cute) and naive, which aren't traits I really aspire to project.
It kinda feels patronising in the subtlest of ways.
Would you feel similar if someone said "bless ya" to you?

Definatley. It kinda subtly makes what you've done seem child-like. I don't think people mean much harm tho, if any.

I think you're taking this out of hand, to the people that use it it's a synonym for "thank you."
