Well, i did my first trip a few weeks ago. Was good. I have that after taste in my mouth though. I brush my teeth/ use scope every morning but i can not get that after taste out of my mouth.

Is this normal?

try bleach, or hydrogen peroxide. and i was under the impression that acid didnt leave tastes in the mouth, but i have no first hand experience.

LSD is tasteless, however I know that before every one of my psychadelic experiences (after dose, before onset, obviously) I get this weird feeling in the back of my throat which persists through the trip and then lingers for a few days.

This has been true for lsd, mushies, mescaline, and various 2cs. Not so for DMT and with salvia there's no onset to speak of so...

It's almost like a craving for something that I just can't satisfy.

Probably unrelated to whatever taste you're talking about, but its similar in that it is a seemingly small thing that turned me off mushroom use for a long period as well.

The only form of acid that should have a taste is actual crystal LSD-25, which I highly doubt you had.

I've had some VERY strong liquid doses and they've never tasted like anything.

Honestly, I have no clue what you're talking about. I was pretty much in a permatrip last summer from tripping so often and I never had that.

I have done A LOT of acid and the only time it ever tasted was crystal, and that was barely noticeable.

There are a variety of chemicals that are COMMONLY sold as acid, hence the question.

Many people acquire said chemicals, and not knowing what a proper acid trip is like, automatically assume said chemical is acid simply because it was on a blotter.

Wow, the first time I did shrooms I got a metallic taste in my mouth that lingered for several days. Now that I'm writing about it I can kind of taste it, actually. It's not really come back that I can remember.

From what I've heard, DOx have a bitter, not necessarily metallic, taste. Of course, to some people it probably does taste metallic. Just not to the people I've heard from.

I'm here to back you up my (unknown) friend. I agree with this 100%. First 2 times I did acid it was actually DOx and I only found this out after being curious enough, browsing totse a bit, and checking erowid to find that it had lasted too long, and the effects were just not the same as LSD.

Granted these were my first times doing "acid", but I thought that I had done it twice, and in reality hadn't even so much as seen the real thing. So it's a completely valid question to ask, especially if it's your first trip, and you shouldn't be an asshole to people tryin' to help. More later.

I've done a shitload of acid, as well as several times taken other chemicals being passed off as acid. Generally acid should have no taste, although I have found that certain blotter with detailed art will have a slightly bitter taste.

The taste is not from the acid, it's from certain kinds of ink and paper used to make the blotter. If acid tastes strongly metallic or disgustingly bitter, it's pretty safe to say it's something else like a DOx or maybe even 5-MeO-AMT. If you've got liquid acid or windowpanes or shocktarts and you can taste anything bitter it is DEFINITELY an RC.
