In a few months I'll be purchasing a new cell phone and since I want a very text/IM based phone I've decided on getting a sidekick. With that comes my problem, which sidekick to get? I've heard nothing but bad reviews for the SK3 so that's out the picture. Between the sidekick slide and sidekick LX, which one should i choose &T?

The LX has a bigger screen and keyboard, so you might like that.

I personally want to suggest the Samsung Jack... since I just got this phone a few days ago and love it.

It's cheaper and has wifi.

But theres just something about the sidekick...

trust me. side kicks aren't very good.

Why do you say this?

Mostly just because I don't like it, but I've had a play with one and all it seems to be good for is lightweight browsing, chat, and myspace.

It doesn't seem nearly as versatile, powerful or for that matter useful as any other 'smartphone' on the market. It just seems like a really big gimmick.

Most people would buy it for texting and the odd phone call, if the stereotype that Bell users that buy QWERTY phones flies everywhere else, so if it's just a teenager who wants to text and isn't editing office docs, it seems fine.

That being said, I don't really like slider phones.
