i normally dont give a shit as long as they attempt to hand roll. but when someone ALWAYS finishes rolling a joint by taking a pen and pressing the shake at one tip then bragging minutes later about how perfect they roll pisses me off. or when someone will wrap the joint wrap around the end of a cigarette then just pours shake in, its pathetic.

When using my own stash I usually just smoke bowls or the bong. When I do roll a joint/blunt, I always hand roll. If someone is smoking me out, I don't give a damn.

When I roll I usually push down the end with a pen or something and then twist the left over paper. What's the issue? It burns better I find and smokes more evenly...That's been my experience anyway.

As for smoking etiquette, if someone is smoking me out I usually compliment them on their rolling or whatever, regardless.

For joints, I tap it down first, then gently poke it to get the top bit flat so it cherries nicely.

But yea, the more I roll the less I need to do both of those, I think my rolling ability is about to peak.

hand riling is the way to go. not packing it down with a pen or using a dollar bill to roll it or a rolling machine. i have no problem with someone rolling it those other ways as long as i get to smoke it, though. but it doesn't fry with me if they start to brag about it. but then again, i;ve never been in that kind of situation. usually, if i'm there, i'll roll it.

In my view it so far from etiquette to tell some one you don't like their rolling technique unless you actually can't smoke it, cause its falling out and falling apart. You are rude and ungrateful. I see what you mean about the bragging thing, but how they roll a joint has nothing to do with it. People who brag about their rolling abilities are annoying, because they make a big deal out of something that doesn't really matter at all. A joint is a joint. It's not a peice of art; It's something that you smoke to get high.

What pisses me off is when someone insists on letting them roll a joint, and when they do it sucks.

Rolling machines are the best way to go IMO. Some people take pride in their rolling abilities, and that's cool. Whatever floats your boat. However, I don't really give a shit about perfecting my rolling technique, and I'll be the first to tell you that a rolling machine can do a better job than I can. It's consistant. Every joint is a perfect joint.
