is lsd really that much better than shrooms? whats the differences between shrooms and lsd and what are the risks with lsd. is it worth trying? and what are the prices for lsd.

They are completely different. I like them both. If your only buying a few hits no more than the 7-10 $ range. The last time I took lsd, I took 2 hits and 12 hours later the t.v. was still talking to me.

Funny, I just experienced this. I did shrooms twice before I tried acid just a few weeks ago...

First, just make sure the person your buying it from has done it or someone you know has done it and had a good trip... alot of bad trips can come from shitty-made acid that doesn't react well in your system.

Second, if you've had good trips on mushrooms, relax... its the exact same chemical interaction in your brain, and as long as your in a good mood and not stressed with anything, you'll have a great trip.

That being said, LSD was crazy... there were lots of similarities with mushrooms, but the main thing i noticed is that with shrooms, most visuals and things remained constant throughout the whole trip. With LSD, what you're seeing/feeling/experiencing at one moment will change into something COMPLETELY different within seconds, and this happens the whole time... which I found EXTREMELY interesting, because even if i did have moments of fear or paranoia, they would go away within seconds... also it was great to see different things the whole time. Kept things very interesting and amazing the whole time...

Also, LSD for me was a lifechanging experience... i was going through a very shitty time in my life, but acid completely got rid of my depression, and my appreciation of everything in the world has improved dramatically!

I strongly prefer LSD to mushrooms.

Mushrooms often make me feel kind of crazy. Like, cross chatter in my head and shit like that. Also the trips on mushrooms tend to be VERY confusing and disorienting.

In contrast, on LSD I seem to be much more in control over my trip. There are just as many "WTF" moments on LSD as mushrooms - if not more. There are some serious mental hallucinations (that is -- things that happen in your head that will not be so sure of) that you will likely be thinking about over the next week or two.

Keep in mind, LSD is a very strong psychedelic. Rather than a drug, it would be more appropriate to call it a tool. There's a whole hallway of locked doors in your mind, and LSD is the key to unlock them. It is up to you to open them.

On a strong LSD trip, realize that you may experience things and see things about yourself that you may not want or be ready to see.

If you have any skeletons buried in your closet, expect to be staring them in the eye.

Don't let that scare you though, a strong LSD trip is one of the most beautiful things someone can experience.

This 'drug' can and will change your life and perspective.

I personally hated shrooms both times I did them. Acid on the other hand...awesome stuff. Some people like shrooms..some like acid. Its all a personal preference.

I personally enjoy shrooms more than LSD. I enjoy the natural feeling of them and shrooms always tend to be more introspective for me. I tend to have more interesting insights and thoughts. Every time I do LSD, it tends to just be a complete sensory fuck and I can't formulate my thoughts with the same crystal clear clarity I achieve with shrooms.

I do however enjoy acid for the simple fact that it tends to be easier on the body, more often than not shrooms leave me pretty nauseated for the first hour or so.

Truth is that you never know if you're going to like it until you try it. I like it alot more than shrooms.

A) It lasts longer.
B) It's more convenient (a couple pieces of paper in the mouth rather than a whole bag of mushrooms)
C) I find the euphoria to be WAY better...The feeling of not being able to stop smiling/laughing comes to mind...

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Me and a friend have both used mushrooms a couple of times, but not enough for either of us to be considered experienced users. Basically, a friend of a friend, who goes to some drugged up continuation school, has LSD and is willing to sell.

However, the bastard is charging $15/hit. That's high isn't it? I was under the impression that it should cost more along the lines of $5-10.

Is there anything me and my friend should know? We realize that we're going to be experiencing something totally new for the first time, and we're as prepared as you can be for that (not prepared at all). Do the same general guidelines for mushrooms apply to acid as well (have place to relax if it goes bad, be in a positive state of mind, etc.)?

EDIT: From everything I've heard, I ought to buy 2 hits per person. Take one, wait about an hour and if we're not feeling it enough, take the other hit.

$15 isn't terribly unreasonable to pay for a few hits, consider the availability in your area. It's not unheard of to pay upwards of $25 a hit. As for a new experience, go with it like when you first did shrooms: confident, with reasonable precautions and plans regarding your tripping environment. Ask your connection about the quality of the acid. He likely won't be able to give you a ug measurement, though, just if it's "good." It may take more than an hour to kick in. If you want to go for the gold, take two at once, rather than space it out.

yeah, i never even buy shrooms, they grow everywhere near where i live, people walk around and pick up about 1000 in 4 hours.



anyway thanks for the replies, ill probably try lsd if i get a chance, but i never ever hear of people buying it/selling it/dealing it/taking it around here, so it might be hard to get.
