The things that the self proclaimed PUA's teach are ways that show a girl that you're dominant or whatever the hell you wanna call it. The thing is, there is no one set personality that all girls are attracted to. Just like guys, different girls are attracted to different personalities, be it shy/outgoing/funny/silly/douchy, there will generally be a girl that finds it attractive.

Now where I'm going with this is that the problem that you have isn't going to be solved by reading some book and practicing the techniques and methods taught in it, this PUA type mentality does appeal to some girls, however these girls probably aren't the type that you want a relationship with. But I think the main problem is that wanting to be a PUA is that it forces you to adopt a completely different personality that isn't yourself and can fuck up how you socially function.

Ok I'd like to restate myself, not every aspect of the PUA books are useless but in order to pick it out you need to look at the broad social spectrum, unfortunately about 99% of the readers will simply read word for word.

Also socially inept people aren't going to be cured just by some book in the first place and I don't wanna be rude to these people, just don't expect to find much help in the PUA lessons.

But the PUA thing, what I'm in defense of is just the fact that they have a need and they're finding a way to fulfill it. I've seen some of the routines and whatnot that they use, and to be quite honest, I did find it a bit pathetic at first. I mean, using canned lines or routines is quite unoriginal and boring. But there must be some out there who take away more than just recycled conversation material.

To me, that sounds perfectly reasonable.

I was shy as fuck for the majority of my teenage years, and the only thing that helped me get past that (and I still haven't even completely...) was that I was lucky enough to have a few girls make the initial move on me. This kinda helped pushed things into motion.

But if it hadn't... I would probably still be completely socially inept.
