Do seasons matter when your growing indoors?

Yes, actually. I find it's much harder to keep my incubator up to temperature and easier to keep my fruiting chamber at temp during the winter. It's also much harder to keep my incubator from getting too hot and my FC drying out in the summer.

These problems can be dealt with with just a small air conditioner and heater, or by having central heat/air.

the only thing the seasons will affect is your trip scenery.

Not true. Winter would lead to more endospores and less active contaminants in the air(ppm), which is good for BRF and not so good for whole grain substrates.

Also, OP, you've begged a very interesting question. Humans rely on the chemical melatonin for seasonal and daily regulation. While I don't think shrooms have a seasonal regulator( growth is triggered by benificial conditions), the fact that one of the decompostion products of psilocybin/psilocin is melatonin suggests that psilocybin-containing shrooms could have evolutionary potential to develop a seasonal regulatory system. Pretty interesting.

Shrooms will grow if the conditions are right, which is very easy to maintain indoors. They don't produce different amounts during each season, at least not enough difference to worry about.
