Just wanted to know how people felt about having their wingmen be of the opposite sex, and also, if someone was hitting on you and their wingmen was of the opposite sex, how would you respond.

I just ask because my best friend...well...he really needs to be laid. So I'm a girl and would love to be his wingman(person?), but I don't really know much about this whole wingman thing, because personally I've never really needed one, so I'm just wondering if I could do more harm than good.
