Are there any that can change you permanently? If so, why not create a drug that alters brain chemicals to put the brain into a permanent state of ecstasy for people with depression? also, what is it about the human body that causes soberness to come back?

Shrooms have completely changed me. I have become enlightened. Unfortunately it gives you a way of thinking that is inexplainable to those who haven't experienced it. It fucks with your head. I lost my faith in god due to shrooms, and I became independent.
