the one-month mark?
maybe i'm crazy. i tend to see myself stopping/getting bored after the one-month mark. recent example: i simply don't want to see him enough to make plans with him. it's been almost a month now. and suddenly things are boring. when he wants to come over, i stall. what's going on?

Re: the one-month mark?
I've heard this from other women. Dunno but I'm guessing it might be something psychical more than mental. Sure maybe you're just a weak indecisive vascillating female but it could also be something rather prehistoric and 'limbic'. Something connected to your female cycle (those which don't have cross bars:P).
You know, maybe if you subconsciously know he isn't the ONE, the father of your children-to-be, that you reject him (ie go off the boil) as he hasn't 'trodden your moon' .
Like I say, I'm guessing but I have heard of this one month thing before.

Look for the total opposite of what you want. You want an 'equal partner' then look for someone whose outlook makes the amish seem modern. You like tall and blond, go small and dark. You like intelligent go for shit kicking inbred from Georgia.
Where to find them? Anywhere but there where you would normally look. 18 million inhabitants in your city, girl. Gotta be a few half decent blokes, even among americans.

Re: the one-month mark?
This happens to me all the fucking time
It's extremley frustrating, and I can't help it.
It's almost like I'm just curious about a guy, and once I figured him out, I don't want to know any more.

This; I wanted a conservative and quiet girl. I got a loud and outspoken girl, complete with many piercings.

It takes you four weeks to 'figure him out', to figure out what he wants?
Here's a little clue for you, girl: It is between your legs.

Re: the one-month mark?
Opposite doesn't really work out in the long run, though, in my experience. I ended up with a guy completely opposite to everything I thought I was looking for, and although it took a freaking year and a half (still upset about that...) I realized that there was no way I could stay with someone whom I really have no common interests with. Jeeps, country and overall general hick behaviour? What the fuck was I smoking? When the complete opposite of what you want is essentially all the qualities you dislike in other human beings (in theory), how can that relationship work?
Umm, yeah. If you're bored after only a month, move on. It'll only get worse. And don't actively look for guys. That seems to attract the creepy, weird ones. The right one will probably be stumbled upon accidentally somewhere and it'll be all lovely and romantic. Maybe.

Re: the one-month mark?

That's what happened with my last gf. Was looking for quiet, submissive and library-type and found the hardcore, punk, tattooed and pierced, insanely outgoing, hippyish, drug using girl of my dreams and fell madly in love.
It didn't work out but I've never loved anyone so much.
I don't think it's as much about finding the opposite of what you want rather then finding something new and fresh rather then rehashes of your past.
I always tell people to look for a partner where they've never met one before and preferably where they've never even gone before. Instead of grabbing a different chip in a bag of Lays you're now reaching into a Doritos bag. Mix it up, by it I mean life and the things like relationships that go with it. Who knows what you'll like :)
Anyways yeah there's generally a reason for the loss of interest after a certain amount of time, either it's you're actual body (which after reading many articles about the scent of a partner defining compatibility and so many other physical things that define relationships makes a lot of sense) or your psychology not connecting the way you want too. You could try to push through it and it may work but there's billions of guys out there and you'll find one that you just know is right and that feeling wont leave.
P.S. If you want to know where I read the articles I got them from the physical magazine: http://psychologytoday.com/
It's pretty damn interesting and worth reading every damn issue that comes. My mom ordered it but I hoard them and read them all, it's seriously a good magazine :)
Never saw the website until now but it looks kinda interesting too.
