Since Russia is an expanding economy due to the large amount of energy they were found to have, a lot of american companies (John Deere) are investing to avoid the economy crash occuring at home. So, they're basically outsourcing a lot of jobs and insourcing people into Russia. My step-dad, being a manager was recently offered a job in Russia and I believe he accepted. So, they'll be moving out there in two years, and I'm going to Europe to study abroad for my IR/Econ major. Thanks to the way it's organized, I'll be moving to different countries because of peace corps, military, and school for the next 10 years.

I don't speak a word of Russian and I just broke up with my girlfriend. I'm athletic and I like to think of myself as good looking, unfortunately that doesn't get me very far when I can't even hit on the girls much less have a decent conversation.

I´ve been living in Spain for a year, came speaking pretty much no Spanish. Sure I had a couple hookups with the spanish lads, but it really is hard when you can´t speak without sounding like a neandrathol. Also, Russia isn't too great, ESPECIALLY Moscow. My grandparents live there, I've been there several times, I honestly cannot see what everyone sees in it. It is dirty, crowded, has NASTY smog, lots of patsani ie. thugs, horrendous traffic jams, etc.
It does have several things going for it, but all in all it's just not a place where I'd like to live. But I'm not big on cities, so that may be a factor. And anywhere else in Russia isn't too good of an idea - beautiful gerevnyas(farms/farmhouses) and nature, but much more poor, nasty people and a feeling of it being frozen in Soviet times to this day...
