What do you guys think about the "Golden Teacher" Psychlocibe Cubensis?

I just bought a Grow Kit and theyll grow out in a few days :)


The thing is that I havnt found many information as regards these type of mushrooms, what is the difference between the golden teacher and other p.cubensis?

How strong are the effects? More mental or visual?

Well, whatever you know about the issue is welcome (personal experiences or extra info.)

Shroomery.org has some good info on different strains. You should go there anyway and learn everything you can about growing, it's really easy to do, but it's even easier to fuck it up. One tiny contaminant and the whole thing is a wash. You should think about splitting that grow kit into at least two parts just in case one gets contam, you still have your others which are nice and pristine.


I can not stress enough the severe sterility needed for this.

Golden teacher is a decent strain, my first grow was B+. As said, check shroomery, and sanitize everything.

A good first tek would be the BRF cakes, in jars. I boiled for 90 minutes, and had ZERO contams. A friend of mine (also on these forums) was a little more lax on the sterilization aspect, and got 100% contams.

Think about it: as it is, you're eating a fungus. How would you like to eat a fungus, contaminated with yummy bacteria?

OP, fuck the grow kit, do the PF tek. Grow kits are notoriously bad.

I heard the shrooms are big in size...
As I dont have a balance or anything to weigh things, I was wondering... How many shrooms should I eat to get a medium-low dose?
Do I eat everything or just the cap?

The sex strain doesn't matter that much. B+ will be around the same potency as Golden teachers and those will be the same as burma or keepers creepers. They just look a little different.

Of course you heard that they are big in size, what kind of salesman would say that their mushrooms are tiny, or even normal sized?
And go get a scale. You can get them at most head shops for cheap.

Mushrooms are tricky because you never know exactly how much your getting. 2 Grams i thought was going to be a low ass dose. It was either the fact I havnt touched a single drug in a year that made them so strong or I had an empty stomach.

I ate 4 grams once and it was like taking 1 pill of good ecstasy with some visual distortion. You NEVER know how much the right dose could be for you. I read that on erowid mushroom dose ranges so much that some people can react to .25 grams of dried shrooms as someone might react to 5 GRAMS of mushrooms. Some people get hit like a brick by them. Keep the dose small till you know your body and your strain of mushrooms

Still climbing, but I'm already questioning why I have a round keybvoard, and how come the texture and smell for everything is different...gwtting ready to see wtf is going to go on as far as strength goes, but right now thw shrooms are taking over. Dude i will vouch for the inability to type on a keyboard while tripping. Letters change shapes and break off/swirl and you could be 100% typing the right letter but it looks wrong so you backspace...= confusion.

lol handwritten letters are even funnier IMO, just cause they can be sooo messed up, even if you misspell on a keyboard at least it's actual letters.

I can't even imagine. Somehow 30 seconds on the iPod, turned into an hour, and feels like I was there forever. At one point the candle flickering on the ceiling was in sync with the techno music I was playing, and it felt like it was starting to open my soul. At one point, I tried to focus my eyes back into reality, but it wouldn't snap back like it always has. After a couple finutes of intense focus I'm back to being as coherent as I am now, but could eassily slip back into this "spiritual trance" as I like to call it.

Why not? Slip away and only come back when you want to, it's not like you need to be coherent right now.

Another thing...

Was it Vitamin C which inhibited the psiclobicin receptors, hence stopping the trip instantly?
What would be the recommended dose for this?

Vitamin c makes the psilocybin more readily absorbed in your stomach, I dont think theres to many things that will magically end a trip. ya cunt.

Yeah, it was nice. I hate the come-down on shrooms though. You're too tired to watch TV or do anything, but you can't fall asleep. I always end up twitching and shaking in my bed for a couple hours, until I fall asleep...anyone have any ideas to combat this? I wonder if smoking would help.
