The Unoffical Pick Up/Seduction thread
All right, every five minutes there seems to be another "How do I get a girl to like me?" or a "OMG, there's this girl...." thread. I've come to the conclusion that a long time ago, men forgot the fine art of the pick up. Generally speaking, men have forgotten how to interact with women they like entirely. Fear not, for I am here to help, my fellow men.
Men go about relationships with women entirely wrong. I don't understand why so many men want to get into committed relationships right off the bat, before they even get to know the girl. Whatever happened to playing the field? For the life of me, I don't understand why any man between the ages of 18-25 wants to be tied down? But I digress. There are men all over the world right now who are getting their paychecks garnished because they didn't know how to distinguish between a quality women and a psycho. Again, I digress.
I also don't understand why people stay in relationships with people they are clearly not happy with. The whole point of being in a relationship is because that person adds to your life, not takes away from it. Life is too short to spend it with someone you're not happy with. The game isn't easy. There will be causalities and people will get hurt, but as long as your honest with yourself and the women you deal with, it won't happen very often. Let's get to the point of this thread, shall we?
If anybody has a legitimate and sincere question about attracting women and interacting with them, I will do my best to answer them quickly and thoroughly. But let me forewarn you, the answer will be the brutal and honest truth, no sugarcoating. You might not like the answer. Let me start off with a few general tips to get you started attracting women right away:
Confidence:
Women love a man with confidence. They love a man who can lead. This is one of the top qualities women look for in a man. And it has to be sincere confidence. You can't fake confidence, trust me, women can pick up on it.
Hygiene:
Take pride in the way you look, men. This is another quality that is at the top of the list that women look for in men. Take a shower daily, get your hair looking right, brush your teeth, etc. Cleanliness is next to godliness.
Style:
Women love a well dressed man. Believe it or not, the first thing a woman looks at is your shoes. Women can tell a lot from the way a man's shoes look. Clean, good-looking shoes tells a women a man cares about the way he looks, and the way people perceive him.
How are a couple of books. I recommend every man reads:
The Art of Macking by Tarig Nasheed
The Mack Within by Tariq Nasheed
The Style Bible from Askmen.com
From the Bar to the Bedroom from Askmen.com
These books will help you a lot, and can be applied to more in your life then just women.
Every man deserves the best. Never let someone tell you she's out of your league. Never let someone tell you you're not good enough for her.
To my fellow men,

^ Yeah same.
There have also been a shit load of threads about how to get girls/laid. Just like this one. It's pretty much all common sense.
Enough of this shit.
Also, some of us like being with a committed partner and being committed to them.
To each his own.

I understand that. I'm just trying to condense it all into one thread. And it may be common sense to some, but to others it's not.
Also, some of us like being with a committed partner and being committed to them.
I never said there was anything wrong with being in a committed relationship with the right girl. But too many men get into committed relationships too early and with the wrong girl. Commitment is a natural step to take in a relationship. There is nothing wrong with it.

I agree with this. Forcing a committed relationship just doesn't work. You need to be around someone for awhile before you say that you want to be with them and only with them.
Made that mistake once; don't plan on making it again.

Common sense is a very misleading term. Picking up girls has nothing to do with monogamy.

Re: The Unoffical Pick Up/Seduction thread
freeRadical, I didn't mean forcing a committed relationship but I can see how that comment really didn't fit in here anyways, I guess I was just arguing against your opinion which was just stupid in itself as I said everyone has their own right afterwards.
You did make some really good point's, I wouldn't know about the books though. It's just that there's already a things guys/girls do that they don't know are sexy and not sexy making up four threads alone among a bunch of other threads with good tips and information to be found. I think trying to condense it all into one thread sounds like a good idea, but really won't work out so well. Who knows though right?
I just think finding the tips and information in all of the other threads is pretty simple enough and more then easy to find.
Plus that way you have things set up in their proper context so if an argument about something breaks out at least it's still generally relevant to the thread.
We'll see where this thread goes.
EDIT: Yeah common sense for someone can also be something helpful to someone else, but if you spend a little time reading the threads here most of this stuff is really repeated.

Re: The Unoffical Pick Up/Seduction thread
What if I don't care about how other people perceive me?
I obviously keep myself and my clothes clean, but I don't and have never given a fuck what other people think about me, I do it for myself.
Now, in terms of picking up women, the good thing is that it means I've never been clingy.
The bad thing, of course, being that I'm really picky who I hang out with, and because of that don't end up coming in contact with a lot of women, even though I'm in college.

I understand there are threads all over the place about how to attract women, but this thread is about how to pick up/seduce women, plain and simple.
Agent 008, I never said anything about caring how other people perceive you, it's actually a good thing you don't. Life is too short to go around worrying about what other people think of you. But it is important to take pride in the way you look. This shows women, and people in general, that you value yourself as a man. And women love a man who knows his value.

Clean, good-looking shoes tells a women a man cares about the way he looks, and the way people perceive him.
So I presume it's a good thing to make a woman think that I care about the way people perceive me?
Also, do you think Kaiji or Akagi have a good chance of getting laid? There's a reason there were no girls in the series :p
And they've gotta be the epitome of badassness and not giving a shit.
Truth is, you have to have a certain healthy level of caring how other people see you, otherwise you kinda lose a reason to "output" yourself and focus on the "input".

I think you're missing the point. You shouldn't care what people think about you, in a sense. But you should care about the way people perceive you. If you're trying to pick up a women and she sees you have unkempt hair, bad hygeine, unironed clothes, and dirty shoes, she's obviously gonna think you don't care about yourself or the way you look. Women care a lot about the way they look and they want a man who does to. If you don't put any effort in yourself, she's gonna think you won't put any effort in a relationship either.
Also, do you think Kaiji or Akagi have a good chance of getting laid? There's a reason there were no girls in the series :p
And they've gotta be the epitome of badassness and not giving a shit.
I'm talking about real life; not make believe. And never did I say anything about being a badass or not giveing a shit.

I don't fully comprehend your meaning here. but you're on the right track.

You aren't supposed to make the woman "think" anything. Anime is not real life, and Kaiji wasn't getting any women because he was a LOSER GAMBLER WITH NO MONEY!

Re: The Unoffical Pick Up/Seduction thread
The best thing you can do to pick up women is make good friends with a couple of women. They'll teach you to dress better, be comfortable talking, and they'll recommend you to some of their friends. Nothing can help you more.

While I do agree you should make friends with many women and talk to them every chance you get, I have to disagree with you on a couple points. Never take advice from women on how to dress, or any advice about how to attract women, what women look for in a man, etc. What most women say they're looking for in a man, is the exact opposite of the kind of man they are attracted to. Most women have no idea what they want themselves, so how can they tell you what they want? Also, never let a girl set you up with any of her friends. Bad idea, trust me.

I don't think you understood my post. Women will dress you to look hot, cause they know what hot is. I never said to ask women what they want in a man, but simply by dealing with female friends, you'll learn their intricacies and emotional needs. Also, once you get your game with your friends, they probably have friends they'll introduce you to, eliminating the much harder stranger pick-ups. A lot of the time, it's those female friends that simply move to a romantic level. Hey, my wife is going to hook me up with some of her friends, so the social network of women will get you laid. Yes, my wife is so comfortable with me that she lets me have extra fun, cause I was a good student of female behavior.

Re: The Unoffical Pick Up/Seduction thread
Depends on what people are aiming for. If its just teenage love, yeah it will boom-- then bust. Most teens do it for their own personal urges and biological desire to reproduce (or just feel good, since making a kid probably will ruin their life). This thread is ideal for that
For long term relationships, personality is the way to go... though that is basically almost unchangeable as well. The points listed help but still, you can be all confident/manly/whatever, but if the person can't live with you or has different values it will be a rough road.

I understood your post completely. I still stand by my previous post. You shouldn't take advice on how to dress from women, because each woman will dress you differently according to what she thinks is :hot" or looks good on a man. Instead, you should focus on a timeless and classic wardrobe.
I never said you shouldn't be friends with women or interact with them on a social level. I simply said beware of the whole "I have a single friend you might be interested in" scenario.

And being a gamer and thinking about it now, I use 'strats' when talking to women...Makes me laugh to be honest.

Lol, newfags can't pull. SAGE.
You have to switch roles, she must want you, and work for your attention.
You must punish them for ignoring you, and reward them for talking to you.
Intergrate yourself into her group, and isolate her from it.
Then she clamours to get back in.

B) Listen to women, nothing else will teach you more about them. Listen.
I never said not to listen to women, or interact with them on social level, or be friends with them. Nowhere in this did I imply that. You should listen to women because you can learn a great deal about them just by talking to them and interacting in their social network.
C) Why the fuck shouldn't you at least listen to what girls think you should wear?I never said not to listen to what they thin; I said be wary of acting on it. Like stated previously, what one girl thinks is "hot" is gonna be completely different then what some other girl will think. Your goal is to develop a classic and timeless wardrobe that suits your style. Your goal is to be attractive to all women.

Never take advice from women on how to dress, or any advice about how to attract women, what women look for in a man, etc.
Sure that isn't saying not to listen, but it is pretty much saying not to listen with an open mind.
Like stated previously, what one girl thinks is "hot" is gonna be completely different then what some other girl will think. Your goal is to develop a classic and timeless wardrobe that suits your style. Your goal is to be attractive to all women.
So your know some clothes that attract ALL women? lol wtf man, if some girl friends of yours (I question how many you actually have) think a certain type of shirt is hot, it probably is, and if you try it on with them and they all love it on you, it probably works great for you and will attract more then just them. Of course think for yourself to, by why not listen and actually follow advice on how to look good from the opposite sex instead of pretending like you already know and there is nothing to be gained from their opinion.

Re: The Unoffical Pick Up/Seduction thread
Much respect freeRadical...BUT
do YOU get girls? can I see some pics of u and some girls?
That is a very good question, and well merited. but there is nothing I could say to convince you that I do. About the pics, sorry, but no. I would never give up my anonymity to prove a point. And that wouldn't prove anything, either. I could just pay some hot girls to take pictures with me or something to that extent.
EDIT: Actions speak louder than words. I'm not asking anyway to believe what I way on merit alone, go out and try some of things I tell you. But to be fair, I haven't really said much, since it seems everybody just wants to hijack this thread and prove me wrong. EDIT

LOL I'd be a fool to try to "prove" you wrong. For all I know ur a grand master mack pimp or a skinny dog shit nerd or both.
Reason I asked you to take pics with girls was because hardly anyone on Totse gets girls so this place lacks credibility. its not u its Totse.
Now on to my question, is it possible to intimidate a woman with too much intelligence and/or style? is it possible that a woman might be attracted to you but just doesn't want you to be better than her and make her or her friends look bad?

I didn't mean to sound like I said you were trying to prove me wrong, just to let you know. I just implied it was impossible for me to prove to you that I was a "grand master mack pimp", as you put it.
Reason I asked you to take pics with girls was because hardly anyone on Totse gets girls so this place lacks credibility. its not u its Totse.I fully understand your point, but like I said before, that really doesn't prove anything. I will try to answer them as clearly and honestly as possible.
"Is it possible to intimidate a woman with too much intelligence and/or style?"
Simple answer, yes, but intimidate wouldn't be the right word. She might feel that you're coming on too strong or trying tou hard to impress her. The key is to be low-key. If you're an intelligent person, don't go out of your way to show her. You want her to know a little about you as possible. You want to be a mystery, so to speak. Do try overly hard to show her your intelligent or bring up topics that you happen to be knowledgeable about, just to impress her. If the conversation happens to casually shift to a subject your knowledgeable about, impress away. Just don't be to over the top, be tactful. When someone goes on about a subject they know about, sometimes they can come across as an asshole, and that will not impress women. Modesty impresses women, and is a very attractive quality to have. This isn't much of a problem with style. Like I said before, women love a well dressed man. Just don't go over the top. One gaudy accessory can ruin an outfit. Don't dress like you're trying to impress anyone, dress for the occasion. Don't wear a suit to go out to the bar, but don't wear a t-shirt and jeans if you're taking a girl out to a nice restaurant. And watch it on the accessories. A nice watch to compliment your outfit is perfect, but no big chains or bracelets. Women are naturally attracted to shiny objects, but to much will ruin an otherwise perfect outfit.
"Is it possible that a woman might be attracted to you but just doesn't want you to be better than her and make her or her friends look bad?"
Yes, this is entirely possible. But you shouldn't come across this problem if you follow the advice I outlined above. She won't have to worry about you making her or her friends look bad if you don't try to show of your intelligence or style, or try to talk down to her or her friends. Ive never had a women suddenly become uninterested in me just because she found out I was smarter than her or her friends. Like I said before, be low-key about it. Women love a man who feels he doesn't have to impress everybody all the time.

Alright, I don't really feel like I was hijacking your thread by arguing with some of your points but I agree, opinions will differ, let's stop the arguing. To make it up to you I'll ask a question that I have my own opinion based answer for but maybe someone else would be interested in yours. I wont add mine so this will keep the thread about you answering questions and on topic.
If a girl is showing clear interest in you in a place like a club or bar and you've reached the point in a conversation where you now know each others names and that you both find the other attractive, how should you move on to asking her to your place/going to the next step? Do you play it cool like you're not asking anything big or what?

Well, to start off, there is a big difference between a girl finding you attractive and wanting to fuck you the first time you meet. If you think she is feeling you that much, then all you have to say is "Let's go back to my place." Simple. But like I said, it's very rare to pull a girl from a club and take her back to your place; a girl worth taking, that is. There are too many decoys in your way. What I would do in that situation is ask for her number and move on, give her a call a couple days later, and take it from there.

Re: The Unoffical Pick Up/Seduction thread
My buddy who first showed me the world of Seduction pointed out a very interesting theory on PUAs.
The overall principles of PUA and Seduction is something everyone should understand. Confidence, getting in shape, knowing how to talk to people, etc, is nothing but beneficial. Some people understand or possess this stuff naturally while others needs help. However, the actual breaking down of seduction is... nerdy as hell. My friend said this much better than I could ever manage, but basically he thinks that PUAs are often nerds, who need to first build up basic skills, but after that mastering the Art Of Picking Up Women becomes like mastering Counter Strike or WoW. It's just a different outlet for these people's natural instincts to want to be the best at something, something that most people dont really care about and do only without thinking.
I just think this^ line of thought interesting, because I find the idea of mastering routines and whatever else Mystery invented (he's apparently a fucked up dude BTW) nerdy and kinda sour, like the people who do it are mad at the world and want to strike back by dominating, via fucking, the girls who previously looked down upon them.

Re: The Unoffical Pick Up/Seduction thread
Fashion Tip of the Week
Although Thomas Jefferson decreed that “all men were created equal,” when it comes to body type and clothing, that bold statement is simply untrue. As a result of having fewer curves, male bodies may vary less in form than women’s bodies, but nevertheless, variation does exist and knowing how to dress for your body type as well as which styles to avoid is the key to honing your personal style.
One thing to always keep in mind when shopping for new clothes is that the fit of the garment is its ultimate test. If an expensive jacket just isn’t right for your body, it’s going to look bad no matter what the price tag. Conversely, a cheaper jacket that accentuates your assets and disguises the things you don’t love about yourself will make you look like a million bucks even without a million-dollar price tag. So to learn about how to dress for your body type, to find the clothes that are most flattering for you, and for the most common body-type faux pas men make (and how to avoid them), read on.
the bulky man
Stay away from horizontal stripes
If there’s a little more of you to love, particularly in the stomach area, avoid any kind of horizontal stripe. While you’re at it, avoid diagonal stripes too. What you should wear with pride, however, are shirts and trousers with vertical stripes. Vertical stripes draw the eye downward, elongating your silhouette and visually slimming it. Pinstripe suits are the perfect dress-up clothes for you, especially paired with a crisp black dress shirt underneath. Pinstripe dress shirts will also look great when mixed with dark jeans or black trousers. For casual wear, try to find a pair of dark corduroys with slim stripes that are made from thin material.
Avoid double-vented jackets
The slits in the back of your jacket are referred to as “vents.” All jackets should cover your bottom. However, if you have a larger behind that makes you feel a bit self-conscious, stay away from blazers and jackets that are double-vented (the ones with two slits in the back) as this cut will draw attention to your posterior. To camouflage a wider rear, go with single-vented jackets or jackets without any vents. If you already own a double-vented jacket that you love, a professional tailor should be able to sew up the slits for you at a fairly minimal cost.
Buy clothes that fit
Many mistakenly believe that tight clothing will smother imperfections and flatten out pudgy shapes. The reason this way of thinking works for women is because women have access to control-top underwear that creates a flatter midsection, thus allowing them to wear tighter clothes. So, unless you are willing to invest in women’s underwear (though we implore you not to do so), tight clothing will only draw attention to your flabby bits. In a similar vein, other plus-size men believe baggy clothing will hide bulges. Not so. Overly large clothes will only make you look bigger. The secret to looking slimmer is to choose clothes that are neither tight nor baggy, meaning that all your clothes should just skim your body without hugging it too closely.
Go monochromatic
A shirt and trousers in two extremely contrasting colors -- like black and white -- will break you in half and make a large middle stand out. Choose tops and bottoms that are identical or similar in color to create a cleaner visual impression and to look 10 pounds slimmer (http://www.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip_200/237_fashion_advice.html) instantly. And, of course, choose all black for the most slimming effect, but add some colored accessories to avoid looking like you have a funeral to attend.
Avoid turtlenecks
If you are heavy-set, avoid turtlenecks at all costs and opt instead for V-neck T-shirts, long-sleeve tops and sweaters (http://www.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip_250/261_fashion_advice.html). This type of collar draws the eye down with the effect of creating a sleeker silhouette. In addition, a V-neck will give you the illusion of having a longer neck, particularly if you have a short neck or a double chin.
Choose prints carefully
Unless you’re on a drunken adventure through Hawaii, stay away from T-shirts or dress shirts with large or busy prints if you’re a bulky guy. These kinds of prints will draw attention to the upper half of your body, which is especially bad if you have a large belly (http://www.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip_200/238_fashion_advice.html) that you would like to conceal. Obviously, printed shirts add flair to a wardrobe, so you shouldn’t swear them off entirely. You’ll look best in a shirt with a small print that is spaced quite far apart.
Wear a belt
A belt will nip in your waistline and make it appear slimmer. Just be sure not to make it so tight that you have a belly overhang.
the tall and skinny man
Don't wear vertical stripes
No woman wants a man who looks like he’s withering away, so if you’re tall and thin, choose horizontal stripes to bulk you up a bit. A single, large horizontal stripe across the chest area can be particularly flattering because it will make your shoulders appear broader and will make you look like you have a perfect physique (http://www.askmen.com/sports/bodybuilding_150/167_fitness_tip.html).
Avoid monochromatic looks
If you wear a solid color from head to toe (especially black), you’ll seem even thinner than you are, so break up your look by wearing a few different colors in your outfit. Fortunately, playing around with the color palette should be fun and you’ll get to experiment with a lot of different looks.
Choose fitted shirts
Loose-fitting, untucked shirts will billow around you and make you look like the mainsail on a mast, so you’ll want to choose something more fitted instead. While you should avoid skintight shirts because they will accentuate your bony upper half, do choose slim-cut shirts and learn how to layer them to fake a bit more mass.
Avoid round-toed shoes
If you’re really tall, shoes (http://www.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip_250/285_fashion_advice.html) with a round toe will make you look disproportionate. To balance out your shape, go for square-toed shoes. When it comes to dress shoes and city shoes, finding square-toe shoes should not present a problem. If you’re at the gym or playing a sport, however, square-toe shoes will be harder to find, so just avoid anything with an overly round shape.
Stay away from skinny jeans
The anorexic female model/‘80s rocker look is never a flattering one for a man, so just say no to skinny jeans. A straight-cut or boot-cut jean with a long inseam will flatter you best.
Choose lighter colors
Lighter colors will make you appear slightly larger, so choose whites, creams, light blues, light grays, and pastels to visually bulk you up a bit.
the short man
Opt for square-toed shoes
Pointy-toe shoes (http://www.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip_300/303_fashion_advice.html) are only OK when you’re taller and your pant leg can cover most of your shoe. If you are smaller, however, long shoes or really big, bulky ones will make you look like less of a professional and more like a joker. Square-toe shoes are best for you.
Wear heels on your shoes
Although you should avoid wearing overly bulky shoes, you should buy shoes with a substantial heel. Dress boots (http://www.askmen.com/fashion/trends_150/170_fashion_men.html) are a great option for shorter men, and there are so many great styles available nowadays that can be paired with everything from jeans to a suit. To really give yourself added height, wear your dress boots with a longer pant leg that comes to the floor to disguise the heel.
Consider accessories
Clever accessories, like a great necklace, tie or hat can keep people’s eyes on your face, making them less likely to pay attention to your stature. Of all your accessory choices, a hat is probably best as it is a fantastic way to provide the illusion of an extra inch or two of height. And by hat, I don’t mean a formfitting toque (http://www.askmen.com/fashion/trends_150/168_fashion_men.html). Try a newsboy cap for an artsy look.
Avoid really big prints
On smaller bodies, giant prints will overwhelm. One way to add quirk to your closet with prints is to choose small prints, like a graphic black and white print or small checks. So if you’re shorter, have fun with your wardrobe by keeping your prints proportionate to your body.
Wear a small rise
The rise in your pants is the distance between the crotch of your pants and the waistband. Shorter men should wear the smallest rise in their pants that they can get away with because a really long rise will make you look like you have a negative butt, as well as making what you’ve got in front look nonexistent. In contrast, a short rise will visually elongate your legs and avoid making your crotch and bottom area look baggy and empty.
Choose a slimmer necktie
Slimmer to medium-sized neckties will avoid overwhelming your frame. Large ties should be avoided if you are short because they will make your body seem disproportionate by comparison. If you are very short, you might want to check out ties that are both slimmer and shorter.
fashion flaws
Fashion (http://www.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip_250/283_fashion_advice.html) is not a democracy. In the style stakes, no one look exists to make all bodies equally beautiful. However, there are a few decrees that everyone can follow to look their personal best. First, make your tailor your new best friend. No matter what your height or size, only a qualified tailor will be able to ensure your clothes are optimally flattering for your body type. Second, learn what looks good on you and resist jumping on the fad bandwagon (acid-washed, skinny jeans, anyone?).
It’s great to experiment with trendy pieces here and there, but if you try it out in the shop and it doesn’t look good, just forget about it and stick to what you know makes you look and feel great. Follow these rules and you’ll significantly increase your chances of being voted best-dressed guy around.

Re: The Unoffical Pick Up/Seduction thread
Top 10 Mistakes Men Make When It Comes to Women
Here are the 10 reasons why men fail with women, and how to make sure you avoid every one of these deadly common mistakes...
Number 10
Being too much of a nice guy
Have you ever noticed that the really attractive women never seem to be attracted to "nice" guys?
Of course you have.
Just like me, I'm sure you've had attractive female friends that always seemed to date "jerks"... but for some reason they were never romantically interested in you.
What's going on here? It's actually very simple.
Women don't base their choice of men on how "nice" a guy is. They choose the men they do because they feel a powerful gut level attraction to them.
And guess what?
Being a nice guy won't make a woman feel that powerful attraction to you. And being nice won't make a woman choose you.
I realize that this doesn't make a lot of logical sense, and it's hard to accept... but get over it.
Until you accept this fact and begin to act on it, you'll never have the success with women that you want.
Number 9
]Trying to convince her to like you
What do most guys do when they meet a woman that they really like... but she's just not interested?
Right! They try to "convince" the woman to feel differently.
Well, I have news for you: You will never change how a woman "feels" when it comes to attraction!
Never, ever, ever.
You cannot convince a woman to feel differently about you by means of "logic and reasoning."
Think about it.
If a woman doesn't "feel it" for you, how in the world do you expect to change that feeling by being "reasonable" with her?
But we all do it. When a woman just isn't interested, we beg, plead, chase, and do our best to change her mind.
Bad idea. One that will never work.
Number 8
Looking for her approval
In our desire to please women (http://www.askmen.com/intermediate/dating/dating10_122_doubledating.html) (which we mistakenly think will make them like us), we guys are always doing things to get a woman's "approval" or "permission."
This is another horrible idea.
Women are never attracted to the type of men who kiss up to them... ever.
Don't get me wrong here. You don't have to treat women badly for them to like you.
But if you think that treating a woman well means "always getting her approval and permission for things," think again.
You will never succeed by looking for approval. Women actually get annoyed at men who seek their approval.
Doubt me? Just ask any attractive woman if wussy guys who chase her around and want her approval annoy her.
You can't buy your way to her heart.
Number 7
]Trying to buy her affection
How many times have you taken a woman out to a nice dinner, bought her gifts and flowers, and had her reject you for someone who didn't treat her even half as well as you did?
If you're like me, then you've had it happen a lot.
Well guess what? It's only natural when this happens.
That's right, I said natural.
When you do these things, you're sending a clear message: "I don't think you'll like me for who I am, so I'm going to try to buy your attention and affection."
Your good intentions usually come across to women as overcompensation for insecurity, and weak attempts at manipulation. That's right, I said that women see this as manipulation.
Number 6
]Sharing your feelings too early
Another huge and unfortunate mistake that most men make with women is sharing how they "feel" too early on.
Attractive women are rare. And they get a lot of attention from men.
Most men don't realize this, but attractive women are approached in one way or another all the time.
An attractive woman is often approached several times a day by men who are interested. This translates into dozens of times per week, and often hundreds of times per month.
And guess what? Attractive women have usually dated a lot of men.
That's right. They have experience. They know what to expect.
And nothing turns an attractive women off and sends her running away faster than a guy who starts saying "You know, I really, really like you" after only one or two dates.
This signals to the woman that you're just like all the other guys who fall for her too fast... and can't control themselves.
Don't do it. Lean back. Relax. There's a much better way (http://www.askmen.com/intermediate/dating/dating10_122_doubledating.html)...
Number 5
]Not "getting" how attraction works
Women are very different from men when it comes to attraction. You need to accept this fact, and deal with it.
When a man sees a beautiful, young, sexy woman, he instantly feels a sexual attraction.
But does the same apply for women?
Well, after studying this topic for over five full years, I can tell you that women usually have their "attraction mechanisms" triggered by things her than looks.
Have you ever noticed that you see a lot more average and unattractive men with beautiful women than the other way around?
Think about it.
Women are more attracted to certain qualities in men... and they're more attracted to the way that a man makes them feel than they are to looks alone.
If you know how to use your body language and communication correctly, you can make women feel the same kind of powerful sexual attraction to you that you feel when you see a hot, sexy young woman.
But it's not an accident. You have to learn how to do this (http://www.askmen.com/intermediate/dating/dating10_122_doubledating.html). And any guy can learn how.
Number 4
Thinking that it takes money & looks
One of the most common mistakes that guys make is giving up before they've even gotten started, because they think that attractive women are only interested in men who have looks and money... or guys who are a certain height... or guys who are a certain age.
And sure, there are some women who are only interested in these things.
But most women are far more interested in a man's personality than his wallet or his looks.
There are certain personality traits that attract women like a magnet...
And if you learn what they are and how to use them (http://www.askmen.com/intermediate/dating/dating10_122_doubledating.html), you can be one of those guys.
You do not have to "settle" for a woman just because you aren't rich, tall or handsome.
Let me say this again: If you know how to use your body language and communication correctly (http://www.askmen.com/intermediate/dating/dating10_122_doubledating.html), you can make women feel the same kind of powerful sexual attraction to you that you feel when you see a hot, sexy young woman.
Keep the ball in your court..
Number 3
Giving up power
Earlier, I mentioned that it's a mistake to look to a woman for approval or permission.
Well, a similar mistake occurs when a guy gives his power away to a woman.
Said differently, guys try to get women to like them by doing whatever the woman wants.
And that's another bad idea...
Women are never attracted to men that they can walk all over... Women aren't attracted to wussies!
Number 2
Failing to read dating situations
Now I'm going to blow your mind... a woman always knows what you're thinking.
Women are approximately 10 times better than men at reading body language. That's 10 times.
I know, it might be hard to believe. But, for example, if you're out on a date with a woman, and you want to kiss her, she knows it.
And if you don't know exactly what to do and exactly how to kiss her, and you just sit there looking at her and getting nervous, she won't help!
And this goes for all aspects of women and dating...
Approaching a woman, getting her number, asking her out, kissing her, getting physical... everything.
If you don't know what to do in each situation, you will probably screw it up... and lose everything.
And you know it.
It is vitally important that you know exactly how to go from one step to the next (http://www.askmen.com/intermediate/dating/dating10_122_doubledating.html) with a woman... from the first meeting, all the way to the bedroom.
Number 1
Not getting help
This is the biggest mistake of them all.
This is the mistake that keeps most men from ever having the kind of success with women that they truly want.
I know that guys don't like to make themselves look weak or helpless. We don't like to ask for help. Hey, I've been there myself.
Let me tell you a little about how I figured out how to be successful with women...
About five years ago, I became fed up with the fact that I didn't know how to approach, meet and get dates with the women that I was attracted to.
It frustrated the hell out of me.
One night I was out with a friend, and I saw a woman I wanted to ask out, but I just couldn't build up the nerve to do it. I can still remember that night... right on the spot, I made the decision to do whatever it took to learn how to be successful with women and dating.
Well, after a lot of hard work and trying all kinds of crazy things, I finally figured it all out.
I can now approach just about any woman and get her number almost instantly. I've dated models, I've dated actresses and I've dated nice, normal, regular girls as well.
It has been a very rewarding experience. I no longer feel that sick, insecure feeling... the feeling that, because I don't know how to meet women, I might wind up alone.
I know that anytime, anywhere, I can go out and meet attractive women (http://www.askmen.com/intermediate/dating/dating10_122_doubledating.html).
