What's going on on the dancefloor?
So I was dancing in a club last night, just me and a buddy really... And then it happens again. A girl approaches me, and like initiates dancing, but 5 seconds later she runs off.
Does anyone know what this is? I had it happen twice last night. Apparently the girl wants to dance with me... What is it that makes her run away? Oh and no, it's not my breath.

Re: What's going on on the dancefloor?
Either you can't dance, she was just checking you out for one of her friends, or ... I guess maybe if you didn't pay any attention to them at all, they could have run away so as not to be embarrassed.

Re: What's going on on the dancefloor?
It should take you less than 5 seconds to whip it out and stick in her pooper.

"What's going on on the dancefloor? "
Apparently not you...
Seriously though, Could be:
Breath
Smell
Looks
Dance Skills
Communication Skills
Vibe your giving off doesn't match your appearance
Among many many other things like just checking you out for a friend as someone else said.
I suggest you figure it out, if it's about you, or stop worrying and don't give up, you've done something right if girls are approaching you to dance with you.
The five seconds thing makes me think it's smell related or something about how you look up close is different then across the room. That or that you just suck at dancing, work on it, take a class or something if you want. OR maybe you should say hey or something, or not if that's what your already doing.

Re: What's going on on the dancefloor?
Yeah you know, it has to be some kinda signals I'm sending.
I was hoping that other guys experienced this too but...
I probably give off a vibe that isn't in sync with my appearance. I mean I have to be okay looking and okay dancing, when they bother approaching me. But the fact is, I'm kinda shy and that probably comes off as rudeness.
Next time something like this happens, I'm just gonna be totally "hey you! what's your name?", with a big smile!
I hate feeling that I let potentialally cool and interested girls just pass me by like that :/

You should have pissed on her and fought one of the bouncers.

Re: What's going on on the dancefloor?
Yeah try saying hey or something, be more confident.
Your not shy enough to stop yourself from dancing so don't let your shyness stop you from being yourself :)
If they still do the same kinda thing go back to the drawing board and think of other things lol

Re: What's going on on the dancefloor?
I'm a little confused by this altogether. You're dancing on the floor with your buddy? or alone? Where I'm from, the women dance on the floor and the men approach them. Then you dance really close. If you match their rhythm and they let you touch them, you continue. If not, move on to the next girl.
You should definitely go in for the best lines ever, only to be whispered in her ear:
I like your shirt. I think it would look great on my bedroom floor.
This is fun, but I'd rather be licking your pussy all night.
Hi, my name is XXXXXX, my friends call me moose cock.( This one only works if you have the same nick name as me)

Re: What's going on on the dancefloor?
Modern popular dancing is really a disgrace. It isn't really a fun activity in and of itself, and it's only enjoyable if both people are sexually connecting.
The problem with that is that it is very difficult to find a stranger to dance with, and once you're dancing, it's difficult to keep dancing unless you are both horny enough to keep the sexual connection building.
I recently decided that I'm going to start going to only "niche" clubs, where they have Latin dancing, for instance. In that environment, you can actually enjoy dancing as a fun activity, and you can actually build rapport as you are dancing. Go up to a girl who is physically out of your league in a typical club, and you might gete to dance with her for 30 seconds, but it'll be over after that. Go up to a girl who is physically out of your league in a latin club, and you can keep her interested by giving her a good time on the dance floor. Besides...once you're good, you can really become the life of the party and dance with anyone you want. I did a lot of this dancing in high school, and I loved it. Unfortunately, I forgot a lot of the moves, but I'm going to take a course to refresh my memory and learn some new things.
There's nothing attractive about grinding up on a girl, and if you don't know her (ie. the default situation in most noisy clubs), then it's just going to creep her out. The only way it can work is if the girl is wasted, and in my experience, most girls in clubs aren't actually wasted.
Anyways, I can't really speak as to why she left abruptly. It's possible that she thought you were more attractive until she got up close, or maybe you weren't dancing well enough. But the point of what I wrote above is that you shouldn't worry about it. There's nothing really special about being able to grind on a stranger, and there are more fulfilling, legit styles of dance that you could pursue.

I cannot agree with this more, there are tons of Salsa clubs around here that are a blast. I hate the fact that grinding on a bitch is considered "dancing". In a club it is too crowded to really dance anyways, and most girls are under the impression I just want to touch my dick to something.
Oh well, Salsa, Cumbia, Miranga...they're all fun as hell, and you are right. If you are a good dancer, then a woman is going to know that you are fun, and WANT to have a good time and not just grind on her.

Yup, you need to go to a place like you mentioned to actually "dance", somewhere with more specific intentions.
The only other place where dancing with a girl is usually any fun is really in a rave type environment and then both of you are probably on E or something which makes it again a specific type of "dance" environment. In the rave type environment it's pretty easy for both of you to connect sexually and dance together for quite some time and sometimes you can even go from dancing to somewhere you can talk and that can last a while too depending on how well you two connect together. Looking for some type of relationship here however is not generally a good idea and will not likely be a good place to find that sort of thing.
Location is all about what you're looking for in terms of dancing and in terms of finding a girl you like.

You're good looking but you can't dance for shit.
This is what is going on.
You are attractive enough to have them attempt to dance with you, but you cannot dance for shit.
