My friend, I consider her my best friend, is actually mad at me because I changed my top friend on bebo....... WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

It's because you are not strong enough to curb her feelings of not being "needed".

As childish as it is, I can see a logical explaination there.

You have this bebo thing (which I think is like myspace or something right?) and you have a bunch of people on your friend list who look at your profile.

By you changing your "top person" or whatever, you're basically making a declaration to a whole load of people that you have a friend who is higher than her in your hierarchy.

This is also what it seems like to me, which is why you should let her talk through her feelings instead of just being like, IT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING, because to her it obviously does...

Myspaces, Bebo, whatever, they're all shite.

But as psycho said, shitty online profiles be damned, she's pissed off because in her eyes, you've 'replaced' her with someone better. You've demoted her. As daft as she may be, to her you've just kicked her down a 'friend level'.
And if she's as stupidly into bloody bebo as she sounds, she probably wont understand, no matter how hard you try.

If you want to soothe this situation I guess all you could do is promote her to top friend again. :S
