-Pot ( no not marijuana )
-Pot ( yes marijuana ) (to smoke the opium with) (because come on, its opium help it out with some weed)
-Strainer
-poppy seeds (5 packs of 150g does for a huge yeild)
-A cup of water for every 150ishG of seeds you buy
-A stove

That is not opium, though that is the very FIRST step to making opium from poppy "straw". The rest, you probably couldn't do if you are asking.

I tried something similar a while back and put a little in a pipe and smoked it. Didn't do shit to me, sweetish smoke though. I don't think I did enough though.

There was a big thread on it on lab tips but I'm pretty sure we concluded it was shit. Give it a try if you got some time though.

That quantity came from 15 grams of dried poppy pods. Smoked by itself and with some pot, in both cases, results were noticed. It was a 50:50 alcohol:water soak for 24 hours on finely ground pods, heated to 20 - 40 degrees C until a tenth of the original volume of solvent, and then left to evaporate in the dark.

The product smelt... fruity and earthy. If thats even a description, and produced a very 'creepy uppy' high, as its described, where you smoke for an hour with your friends, claim its done nothing and then realise that you're entirely unable to move and do anything but laugh and snigger.

Opium is the Latex (sap) from the poppy plant/flower.

I dont think it would be very cost efficient to make opium out of the seeds.

Just grow some flowers and scrape the pods. There's your opium.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that the residue the OP had shown has traces of morphine, hydrocodone, and some other chemicals...SO...I think that it would yield better effects if you chased the dragon. Also it can be used for better dosage then tea.

thats it? man i tried ice-o-lation on ppt, cold water wash/hot water steep w/ ethanol, acidifying... eh it always comes out as shitty tasting goo and smoking it is not worth it effect-wise. My last attempt will be a/b extraction on goo or fortifying the goo with morphine precipitate from different batch? suggestions?

Naw man not hydrocodone. Hydro is a semisynthetic. But thebaine(what hydro is derived fom) may be present and also codiene.

Strange, did you ever try licking a tiny amount of the yielded goo? Did it taste stupidly bitter?

I plan on collecting a fair amount of either pods or raw opium this year, and from doing so will attempt to clean myself up some morphine/related alkaloids :)

I have a patent or paper on the procedure, its similar to an AB type extraction, but used CaOH to basify, and ammonium chloride to precipitate the morphine freebase IFIRC.
