After a month or so of searching for any sort of E dealer I got some pills, overpriced but I paid it anyway. I popped three and in about an hour and a half it kicked in, but it wasn't your usual MDMA high, I had harsh couchlock, my hands were shaking and it simply wasn't a "happy" high. It was more of a downer than anything. I felt some of the typical effects of MDMA, jaw clenching, huge pupils, social empathy I also felt something different. For short periods of time I was paranoid, worried and nearly started a fight with someone over nothing. Would you say its just low quality E or perhaps cut heavily with something else? In the past I've always had top quality gelcaps.

Definitely not MDA; probably meth and a PEA, though what you say is REALLY contradictory. I'd say caffeine and a little bit of MDx perhaps with a PEA for the violent aspect (though I don't know of any that cause that). Many MDA users feel much more social empathy without the euphoria of MDMA, though you would definitely not have had the violence with the MDA alone. Identifying these things isn't an exact science; maybe you should check your pills on ecstasydata?

Really though, you should know that jaw clenching does not occur on pure MDMA. It's a (meth)amp side effect, so that pretty much tells me you're expecting the adulterated-ass high that passes for "X" these days. But since you didn't really even get that, I would say you probably got a tiny bit of MDMA per pill (<30mg), twice that in speed(~60mg), and a little bit of some other shit thrown in.

Overall though, if you popped 3 and didn't roll nuts, they were terrible beans. Because your description sounds like you got a hit or less(<=100mg) of MDMA total. And that's just plain horrible, especially considering they had speed too. The only way to know what you had would be to buy more shitty pills and test them, but you don't want to do that. Buy a test kit anyway and test before you buy next time. Not only will you be able to tell the presence/lack of MDMA, but you'll get somewhat of a potency estimate at the same time.
