OK, I always have to be careful about where I smoke, and was wondering what you all do to smoke covertly. A couple tactics I use:

Hot-box in the shower: build up steam, and smoke. Exhale through a carboard tube, stuffed with 2 sheets of fabric softener. Then turn on fan, and turn water to cold. Any residual fumes will be sucked out with the warm vapor, and replaced with fresh cool air. You can repeat the hot/cold process a couple times if you're paranoid(an unfortunate side effect of this activity;)).

Outside: There's a niche on the back corner of my house, invisible to everyone else around. This works especially well in the evening, as the cool air makes the smoke all that much smoother.

Anyone else care to share their advice?

Use a doob tube, and dont let your bowl burn, put it out with something after you hit it. Joints are gonna be smellier.

I work paving, and we have this big ass tank on a trailer with tar shit in it. We take hits in the truck, then walk around to the back and open the vent on the top. A cloud of smoke flies out and you just blow your hit in that. The shit smells bad, so the weed smell goes away.

Usually we don't need to be sketchy about it, but if were working in parking lot or somthing...

I used to real paranoid with stealth smoking but now its easy as fuck. I have 1 of those small metal pieces that a nickel perfectly fits over. So i take hits out of that and cover the top with the nickel so no smoke escapes and i don't even fuck with a sploof or doob tube, just ghost that shit.
It works perfectly, i smoke everywhere and no one notices.

i generally just hit my weed out of a lightbulb vape. no smell, no worries.

Vaporizing has very little smell at all, but if you must smoke instead of vap, then use a bowl, like stated above, and put it out after each hit, covering the bowl with your thumb, a coin, or whatever. hold each hit in as long as long as possible, and blow smoke out the window.

If you have windows that you can open on the top and bottom open them on the top. Hot air will carry the smoke up and out of the window.

Use a window fan and plug your vents. Check for air flowing -into- the room through the cracks around the door (negative pressure inside your room), and you're golden.

My stealth way is to go into a closet and seal under the door. Then load a one hitter into my pipe and hit it really hard so I don't leave any to burn and let smoke run off of it. Then I hold in my rip as long as possible which makes me really lightheaded but its worth it. Then I blow it into a doob tube which is kinda wrapped up in some blankets. After I do that enough to get stoned I spray a little febreeze and theres so smell at all. Or if you dont wanna go in the closet then put your doob tube in a drawer and when you take a hit put your face in the drawer and blow into the tube.

1. Go outside, and act stealthy.

2. Smoke a pipe out the window, cap the bowl so it doesn't cherry.

3. Vaporizing/eating, but thats not smoking.

I would always just put a fan in my window blowing out & smoke right beside it, blowing my hits outside. Nowadays I usually don't need to hide it, but if I do, I find the best way to not get noticed in public is to act like you're not doing anything & just smoke. Just don't be stupid & go around cops.

Proceed to take hit... while still inhaling (so the smoke is being pulled into your longs and not going out of the bowl) cover the top of the chillum with a guitar pick or something flat and smooth. Ghost/zero your hit, and exhale (just in case) through a spoof/doob tube, w/e you want to call it. Do this by a window or bathroom fan, use febreeze afterwards. The smell will literally be nonexistent.

This thread is about stealthy smoking, is it not? Why would that exclude smoking in public?

It's not that I don't agree he should move out of his parents ... I just think that the advice to simply 'move out' over looks so many other scenarios.

If I'm out around with my friends we usually got spots all around to go to smoke. If we don't do that we just walk and toke which I don't really like to do unless its the middle of the afternoon on a weekday.

When I smoke out my window I just keep my pipe held out my window and blow all the smoke out. Make sure it doesn't get cherried and then I leave the window open for like a half hour and its fine. I don't have a screen on my window so there is pretty much no chance of any smoke getting in my room.

Blow weed out the top of the window, if there is no wind/a slight wind inwards air will be sucked in at the bottom but exiting through the top. If you blow it out at the bottom it is more likely to get blown back into your room.

if in public, smoke spliffs, and roll em so they look just like ordinary cigs, but put a roach where the filter would be. you can smoke that shit as you walk down the road, and nobody'll know.

Iv employed a few methods over the years.

Firstly the shower method works pretty well and steam with an extractor fan seems to work really well to get rid of smoke.

Also shotties for those Uk smokers who use them, they dont really leak any smoke as its a one hitter and all the smoke goes straight down the tube filling the chamber then into your lungs in one hit. If your lungs are strong enough then you can hold that in for ages and then just exhale in which case little or no smoke is exhaled. If your really paranoid aim this in the direction of a window or fan and spray a little deodorant, too much deodorant actually makes things worse though.

Lightbulb vaporisers work very well and I have managed to use these in the bathroom with two of my ex girlfriends in the next room without them realising (they were both strongly against smoking weed to the point where they would probably have ripped my balls off/broken up with me. Shit I managed to take 3 massive hits from a lightbulb vape which got me absolutely ripped whilst in the same room as my ex and then proceeded to have sex with her... She never suspected a thing!

Another way I used to smoke on the sly on busses or trains on the way home from work (provided the bus is near enough empty) was to load up a shottie in my bag, take a hit and then blow the smoke into a large koi bag which was sealed over a 1inch tube with a valve which could be turned off. Bag was filled with smoke, the valve turned off and the smoke left to dissipate inside the bag or just emptied out the window. Another way was to just blow the smoke through a pipe poking out the window... Believe it or not I actually walk around with fish bags, pipes and valves in my bag normally and spending 3 hours on the bus a day gives you a lot of time to think of imaginative ways of slyly smoking when your that bored!

Single skin joints usually work well for walking down the street and most people will smell it but wont be able to track it down to an individual smoking especially if its busy and I normally smoke rollies anyway.

The only time I was "caught" in my house was when my dad woke me up one morning a few years ago and said "I'm not telling your mom, don't worry, but just smoke outside man, it's easier that way" and when I asked him how he knew he said I forgot to move the towel from the bottom of my door.

I just either go out back behind my house or on the side where the neighbors aren't home and smoke a bowl or so or I vape in my room cause I can't find a good way to vape outside with a bulb and there's next to no smell, especially since I generally do this after my parents go to bed.

BTW my mom knows I smoke, she has just made it quite clear to not blaze inside where I'll get things "smelly", fair enough. The time I was caught it was raining and I figured it wouldn't hurt I just blew the smoke out the top of my window and it never smelled.

Too lazy as I just used this method, but kudos to whoever it was that suggested the lighbulb vape. Just tried it out in my room, it's THAT low-profile. I'm still coming up, but so far the experience is at LEAST as good as smoking out of a pipe.

In my room out the window, first light a candle.. crack the window halfway open, setup a dual fan rig i made...that blows out the window...light up exhale the smoke into the back of the fans, viola out the window. Then I usually turn on my ceiling fan, blow out my candle(smoke from blowing out the candle usually cascades the air with a burnt incense like smell) then relight it and let it go for a while and leave the room for a 10-20min period that way there is no reason for anyone to be in my room since i am not in there and the room can air out for a bit. Never been caught yet or asked "Hey whats that smell". Usually comment is HEY that candle smells good.

In both cases just have to make sure the bowl is out and not still smoking while your handling it back to your stash spot or case.

JUST make sure you do not blow any smoke or have any backlash of the smoke blow onto your clothes, i walked out into the living room once talking to my dad and he goes "sniff sniff" You smell like pot....wind that day was bad.

Another option would be to get a shower extractor fan and ducting and put the end out the window... Then just blow the smoke into the fan.

How do firecrackers work out for public stealth smoking? I haven't ever tried because I get so sketched when I'm high and my parents are so suspicious that I only smoke with other people in controlled situations. From what people have told me though, its just a cigarette or a primetime loosened up so the tobacco falls out and replaced with bud. I've only smoked from pipes and bongs so I can't really picture how that would hold up/hit compared to like a real joint but it would look like the real deal I imagine, filter and all.

I'm surprised no ones said this, this is a good one for us blunt smokers, open your chimney vent and smoke sitting next to your chimney, exhale towards chimney, smoke gets sucked out even if your a foot or two away, thats probably the best method.

Multi-parter but as close as you can possibly get to being 100% safe. I spend most of my time living in a very small dorm room so I have to be very cautions, everyone else that I know that has smoked in the dorms has gotten busted except for me.

First, a window fan does wonders. I have two window fans that have the option of intake or exhaust. Use the exhaust setting with the fan turned on high, and very little smoke stays in the room. Put a rolled up towel under your door too, if there is room for air to escape under the door. This will help prevent any smell from leaving the room, and combined with a window fan it will help seal off the room even more. When I have my window fans in the windows turned on exhaust with a towel under my door, I can actually feel air being sucked in from the hallway when i put my hand by the door frame.

Second: Use a spoof or doob tube. Paper towel rolls generally do the trick. Don't go easy on the fabric sheets though, stuff that shit as full as you can get it without making it difficult to exhale through (and don't pack them in too tightly). I personally use a gatorade bottle packed full of fabric sheets with small holes poked near the bottom because i think it works a little better, but both work just fine.

Third: Smoking itself: either get a vaporizer or be sure as hell to cover your bowl after every hit to trap any smoke. vaporizers are ideal in this situation because if you get a good one, they work very well and are more efficient, as well as the fact that there is MUCH less smell with a vaporizer. if you don't have the money to spend on a good vap, just make damn sure that you cover your shit up immediately after hitting it to trap the stray smoke - when hardcore stealth smoking, any smoke that doesn't pass through a doob tube is an enemy.

Four: Air freshener and/or incense during/after every smoke session. Febreeze, as well as pretty much any other air freshener work wonders. Incense also does the job very well, so light up a stick of nag champa before you toke (incense not recommended for dorm rooms).

For out in public smell. grab a plain ol ciggy, bore out about a half inch down in the middle of all the tobacco some finely shredded bud(quality since you have a small space to fill, or just make 3-4 of them if you have some mid grade bud), then just replace/pack the end back with tobacco.Hence it looks like a cigarette but smokes like a join. That way if you in a distance out in public you can smoke at your own leisure, as long no one is close enough to catch a smell of the bud. Going to do this on the beach this summer.....see ya there sidewayz hah

I'f I'm smoking at the buss stop or something and I want to take a hit I'll walk to the end of the end of the concrete pad so I'm down wind from everyone and turn my back and take a quick toke or if I'm feeling frisky I'll walk so I'm up wind and take a hit then after I blow it out walk back and hear people comment about the weed smell

The reason I walk around with those things in my bag is because of my job not because I want to slyly smoke weed if you didn't already realise.

Vaporizing still does make a smell! When you read those textfiles about vaporizing and they say it does not smell at all, there bullshitting. I got caught one time thinking that just because im vaporizing it wont smell at all.

But here is my stealth method :) :

Around 11 o clock or so when everyones asleep, I go into my closet and shut the door, I use a light bulb vaporizer. When you put the lighter under the bulb, place a thumb over the opening at the top, until it fills with vapor. Have a straw in your mouth ready, take your thumb off the top and suck in all the vapor, if you do not get all the vapor put your thumb back over the hole. Hold the hit for as long as you can, then I will usually have a towel laying on the floor nearby, and I will pick that up and put it over my mouth an exhale, Im not sure if this is necessary (probibly not!) but the towel with absorb some of the odor (I would think). Then when im done, I put the lightbulb, lighter and straw in an empty slimjim can and hide it in the closet. Spray a lil cologne in the closet, and shut the door, have a piece of gum ready. As for the towel, I usually just stuff it underneath something in the closet.

And that is my steal smoking method. ;)

Yes they work fucking amazing. Ive been smoking out of one every night for 3 years and no one has smelled it yet. You dont even have to blow it out the window. But dont use only 2 or 3 like previously stated, i stuff like 6-10 in there. The more the better.

If I smoke at school, which I only do rarely because only seniors can go out for lunch, I take one deep toke in a bathroom stall in the middle of a period, put the bowl out then run to the side stairwell, exhale, then shut the doors. (The side stairways have double swinging doors on each landing. There are cameras in the stairs so I can't smoke right in there.) Afterwards I put on/take off a hoodie or jacket or whatever, depending on whether i was wearing it already or not.

ive used this method. it depends on the relative pressures of outside the window and inside. generally this is true if it is colder outside than inside. the cold air from outside comes in and sinks down at the bottom of the window, the warmer inside air rises and flows out of the top. the reverse is true is it is warmer outside and colder inside.

Tried this, and got no real high, as compared to smoking out of my pipe. As it is now, I'm completely out of weed anyways...:(

One time I smoked at a friend's house and he had a real (read: not lightbulb) vape. Before we smoked, he put on a fog machine and some colorful lights and when his mom came downstairs for a minute I got really scared but he just placed it behind the couch and she didn't even notice. Granted, his parents are really stupid to not notice this eventually, but still its pretty funny I thought that they didn't even seem confused by constant fog machine use in their bonus room.

my favorite summer pasttime is walking around the neighborhood i grew up in while getting high. back in the day, i only did this when i rolled spliffs or joints or blunts; but now i just do it with my pipe. i load up my first bowl in my car, then basically just walk around the neighborhood/between local landmarks (elementary school, park, lake, etc) taking hits out of my pipe wherever i please. i work 3rd shift so i do this at night more often than not (although day works just as fine), so if i'm walking around i just hit it when i'm walking very slowly or (if it's windy) i stop for a second, take my hit, and keep walking. if it's night, i (obviously) reload under street lights. the general rule of thumb is i'll listen to my ipod if it's day but if it's night, i like to be more attentive to the sounds of the landscape so i won't bother with it. don't use it in the early morning either, toking up in the park with all the birds out singing is enough entertainment anyway :)

it's really simple....i mean if someone is walking directly past me and i can't cross the street/avoid them, if they look like they might be trouble i just light up a cigarette to cover up any smell there might be, but considering i'm outside and walking most of the time, there's like no chance of getting caught as long as you don't like sit on someone's fucking porch and hit it there or something dumb. if someone glances out their window and catches me hitting a pipe, whoop de shit, they won't see me hit it again since i'm walking.

protip is to use a 20-oz plastic drink bottle instead of a cardboard tube, with a few half-inch holes melted in the bottom. it's a better design and more space for fabric softener sheets.

When I was in thailand though... the place I was staying was very heavily against drugs, so I went to the bathroom, had the shower on to cover the lighter noise, blew the smoke out of a window... Then I went to see some reggae cover group at the local bar... god I was so high. Good times

i dont smoke that often personally, but my friends who get high every single day actually smoke in the middle of town during the day and have never been caught by police...

last week they were smoking sitting on some grass in the town and a cop walked past, literally about 2ft away, said "nice day" and nodded and walked on while my friend was takin a draw.

My recent technique, is incense stick next to a fan blowing out my window..fan sucks smoke from incense stick then blends it with my pot smoke..right out the window...then i thumb up the bowl to keep it from smoking out my room(how i almost got caught once) cause that bit of smoke could stank up a room easily. Then i just spray a few shots of spray in the air and im good....

"What are you doing?" he asks, since im standing by the window still..I say oh fucking with this incense it wont burn right...hes like OH yea i got some free golf clubs forgot to tell you.....didnt pickup the scent.
