I try to inhabit a fuzzy world filled with kittens, and I think it'd be lovely if I could be friends with all my ex's.

So i tried with another one the other day and....it didn't work out. I think you need loads and loads and loads of time not talking to each other for this to work, like a year.

So I'll try that, waiting. Then I'll put on my CV, "friends with all my ex-girlfriends"

If i am still friends. With most ex's i have like a 2|7 friend to never speak to again ratio. It is usually friends with some kind of benefit :p

Meh, I don't see why I should every speak to my ex after her acting like a complete twat. Some people say to forgive and forget, but to be honest how could I hold any respect/trust for her after completly destroying it all?! It's ashame really, but i don't really give a shit anymore.

I think if the relationship ended and it was a completly equal decision then a rather fruitful friendship could indeed be formed.

Normally, I wouldn't do that. But the bitch ended up going out with one of MY friends after we broke up, so now, her friends are fair game. And she had some pretty hot friends. :D

But for an actual "equal," traditional friendship?? Where one of us isn't just using the other one for something? I don't really see the point...

Although, I do like hanging out with my first girlfriend from time to time. It's worth it for the interesting trips down memory lane...

but if you can be mates then yeah its great and because you know a lot about each other its usually a decent relationship.

As far as being friends with them goes, I normally am, except for one girl that completely ruined me about four years ago who I still think about. She tries to contact me every now and then but I don't make much effort to respond.

Seems like there'd be too much hurt. It would just be too hard to see them with someone else. It would just bring back all the old pain again.

It depends how long ago it was. I would call myself reasonably good friends with one of my exs, but broke up almost 3 years ago, which probably has a lot to do with it.

I honestly gave my best effort this summer to keep one of my relationships a 'friendly' relationship. It DID NOT work...And there was just too much pain to do it. I got a new girlfriend but blocked the ex and I am very happy with that. I was in one of those 'I cant live without her' mindsets but TRUST ME, It goes away.
