Ok, whats the potential reprecussions of his actions?
My best friend, is really depressed over a family members loss. And whenever he goes out of state to see that family, he gets fucked up, way too fucked up. I don't know what to do.
Anyway, this weekend, as far as I know, he did all this in one party:
1. 3 Rolls over time (taking one after the other one comes off
2. Tons of good weed
3. Drank ALOT.
5. Popped some unknown painkillers
Luckily he didn't have some kind of respiritory/cardiac failure. But he is still really fucked up today, kinda in a daze, depressed, said he feels numb (not sure if emotionally or physically).
Hopefully he'll be ok, he obviously cant practise moderation so he is quitting all mind altering substances. So I want to know what long term or short term ways can all that hurt him?

Re: Ok, whats the potential reprecussions of his actions?
sounds like he is walking the line with his combination of drugs.
in all honesty he will be fine long term if he stops now. as far as short term is concerned, he is gonna have a rough month ahead of him if he is using regularly.
if not it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

Naw, like I said he is supposedly swearing off all drugs. I am so sick of babysitting this motherfuckers drug use, he doesn't know shit about what he could do to his body, he just eats/smokes/drinks whatevers thrown at him.

Re: Ok, whats the potential reprecussions of his actions?
It sounds like he is heading in a bad direction, already, for some people its a phase, others keep their bad habits until its too late.
I've known both types of people. All you can do is try your best to help, but its up to him, you can't make him do anything.
He has to want to change, or he won't, period.

Re: Ok, whats the potential reprecussions of his actions?
The biggest obstical is that it would be beyond ackward to sit down and talk to him about his reckless drug use. We're best friends, have been since we were five, whenever we get into some stupid shit (usually not dangerous) we were always in it together. Until now, his cousin died in a drunk driving accident and he just is spiraling into drug addiction. He doesn't have a specific substance addiction, but you can no longer talk to him long without reference to getting fucked up. Any tips?

He'll be fine.
Doesn't even sound that bad, sure he should learn what the fuck he's taking but yeah, he'd just be feeling the come down and a hangover now.

spiraling into drug addiction? you sound like my dad.
if he doesn't do combos like the ones above he will be fine. basically tell him he's being a fucking noob and he should research his shit before he goes taking new drugs/combos.

Sounds like an average weekend.
He will be fine as long as he practices moderation.

Re: Ok, whats the potential reprecussions of his actions?
Rolls and booze are a bad idea, for several reasons: 1)alcohol makes nearly any pill kick in faster/harder 2) alcohol and rolls both dehydrate you. The most common deaths involving extacy are from a)dehydration b)over-hydration, due to hearing stories about dehydration. If you insist on mixing them, or even while just rolling, drink a glass/or keep a bottle of water around. Drink a glass every hour-hour and a half to be on the safe side.
OP: he's hungover, probably has afterglow. afterglow- feeling odd/out-of-sorts/still mildly tripping after ingesting drugs like x,shrooms, or acid. Essentially, a hallucenogic hangover. Don't worry, if its the next day or later, he's almost definitly fine.

Re: Ok, whats the potential reprecussions of his actions?
the rolls and weed are fine... as long as he had a good deal of water the alcohol shouldnt have dehydrated him too badly...
and depending on the time of taking the painkillers and the type... you take too much of any NSAID with alcohol and bad things will happen... but if he wasn't vomiting up blood he probably hasnt done much organ damage...

well, to answer the threat title, the potential reprecussions of his actions are bein put in a coffin 6 ft under the ground. Plain and simple. Be smart about what you're using and know the effects they can have together, or bad shit can happen.

Re: Ok, whats the potential reprecussions of his actions?
Umm, this makes me slightly worried. At a party I often consume this amount, and sometimes throw some other chems in for fun. As long as he treats excessiveness with moderation ;) he'll be alright.

Re: Ok, whats the potential reprecussions of his actions?
what are the repercussions of him quitting or continuing?
the OP confused me
i mean if he continues down the same path like it was said earlier, hes walkin the line, hes risking it and it sounds like hes got some underlying things bothering him...
if he quits i mean depending on the pain pills he shouldnt be going through too bad WDs but he might need some counciling or some help
i mean everyone here is going to tell you outpatient is stupid but honestly it can be helpful. i think the 12 steps are absolute bullshit but having a sober support network definitely isnt. im in an outpatient clinic and i find it quite helpful. they will tell you moderation is impossible and they are wrong about that, but that doesnt mean some of the other things you can learn there arent worth while.
it really does help just to be in a room with other people that are no different from yourself that have been down that road and just talk things out with others
just dont let their overboard brainwashing get too far down your throat

Re: Ok, whats the potential reprecussions of his actions?
It sounds like If he had taken enough to overdose, he would have already.
You said he's in a daze? Maybe he took something other than painkillers. Anti-Psychotics for example can make a person seem mentally blank and dazed for hours.
I think he should be fine.
Also, for more knowledgeable people, is it possible to fuck up your liver in one 24 hour period using drugs that haven't been cut or tainted with "Bad" substances?
