desperate people.
I've noticed from watching people that a desperate person never makes friends.
there is this guy at my school, kinda a loser and he's always going out of his way t talk to people try and make friends, but he's appears to be desperate for friendship.
as a result people tend to want to get away from him.
why is this? I myself wanted to leave the general area when this guy begins a conversation.
someone is desperate for friendship and yet at the same time, their wanting of friendship causes them to get no friends.
can someone explain this paradox?

Re: desperate people.
They over compensate during a conversation and it tends to overwhelm people. Simply, he's too upfront, lacks the knowledge of experience in how to build trust with people, and how to reserve himself.

Re: desperate people.
I thought this little fact of human nature was common knowledge?
People are naturally less attracted to what is in abundance, and more attracted to what is rare.
So if you come off as desperate or needy, you're going to appear as less valuable.
Kinda silly when you analyze it objectively, but hey, that's the human species for you. :p
