Hi everyone. Basically I got around to trying both raw opium (vaped) and morphine (snorted) at seperate occasions.

Most people I know think of opium as a weaker version of a morphine, nut I myself prefer opium to morphine for some reason. Morphine just makes me more nauseous than opium and frankly I just really love the scent of opium, the whole ritual of sitting back and smoking it, etc...

In the future I'd prefer to stick to opium because it has lower addiction potential (due to it not being around often ofcourse) and because the overall experience is just more enjoyable. It also makes me feel less like a stereotypical drug user.

Whenever I tell anyone I prefer opium over stronger opiates they just think it's weird.

i know what you mean. popping pills is boring, smoking is fun, but morphine is a better high if done correctly.

Opium is a mixture of opiates, and can be smoked very effectively, and can be good stuff, resulting in severe "lol im fukd"ness.

It's hard to tell anyway. You comparing raw opium against morphine pills, or being IVd with pharmaceutical grade morphine? Addiction to opium is going to involve addiction to th other opiates, but then some people say they make a better high.

I've never smoked opium, only made poppy pod tea, and that's nice enough. I feel a bit sketch buying morphine pills in Cambodia pharmacies - I probably could, but I don't just wana get fucked and do nothing, and risk trouble also. Sticking to the xanax.

I reckon some opium smoked well (not teh red rok lolol) would satisfy most, though. :)

opiate is addiction is opiate addiction. They all have a cross tolerance. i am sure there are othe addictive alkaloids in opium poppies though.

Opium > morphine. Not that either of them are bad.

Every time I've smoked opium I only felt minor effects. I used the push pin under a glass cup method, and also tried smoking it out of a cleaned out light bulb. I smoked a good amount of it too. It smoldered for probably a half hour.

I read you're supposed to hold a lighter to it until it starts bubbling and smoking, but not burning. I can never get it to do this, it always either starts on fire then smokes heavily while glowing orange, or begins slowly smoking but then starts actually burning after a minute or so.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just shitty opium? There's a good chance it is, because I've only bought it on three separate occasions, and each time it was opium my friends had brought back from Bonaroo.
