a couple days ago i flipped my car over, it went off a steepass embankment and rolled over twice, landing on the hood.

i wasnt buckled or anything and i actually came out of it alright, cept i hurt my neck a bit. i had catscans done @ the ER and have a somewhat damaged disc in my neck.

still i've been bitchin about the pain and all i get is a Rx for fuckin MOTRIN!! yeah, motrin....thats somme bullshit.

seriously though, because the news media has been doing all these stories about kids getting high off their medicine cabinets, docs don't like to prescribe shit any more, thus the Motrin.

Though supposedly you can buy wondrous shit off the internet, but I've never tried so I wouldn't know.

Most doctors are assholes. They get off on giving shittier drugs. They are aware that some drugs like valium or percs are much more effective, so they give shitty drugs like ibuprofen as sort of a "fuck you". That, or they're afraid of losing their job.

Either way, the whole process of getting drugs is fucked up in this country. A man who wants a certain pill for his own use should be able to buy it. Supply and demand. The whole doctor prescription thing fucks up the economy.

So yea, drug dealers. Less hassle, and no shitty old dude assuming you're an addict when you tell him your back hurts.

I'm not a medical doctor, but perhaps this is why they won't give you anything better?

Well if you look like a drug user, and bitch for painkillers like a drug user might, chances are.. the doc might think your a drug user!

Seems to be luck of the draw in getting a more liberal doc who will give out opiates more easily...

You should check to see what commonly gets prescribed for your injury and "level of pain."
Answer might be right there...

or possession of anything in any amount?

prior encounters with addiction? (rehab, methadone, DWI's)

but likely you have a dr that finds no physical evidence to warrant pain meds.

Tell them you are in serious pain.
