I need to present my final product for drama class tommorow and I am completely prepared, its just that I get extreme anxiety when I perform and I will be infront of a very large audience. I was thinking of snorting a line or two of adderall before I go but that only helps so much. What drug would help me out with the anxiety the most, while not rendering me incapable of remembering lines/maintaining composure. Also, dont bother suggesting a little bit of weed because last time I needed to do something infront of my class for school I was extremely nervous so I hit a bowl before the class and it was a fucking disaster. :(

any benzodiazepine, alcohol, barbiturates, what did you think, basically any depressant.

Meditate before hand. I tried it in speech and it really worked.

Anxiety is the essential condition of intellectual and artistic creation. Get high after class.

Thats a great idea, I can't believe I didnt think of that. I do tm sometimes and it does help alot.

I always had a clean/smooth tone when talking about anything on adderall. Downers will just take the edge off but may cause u to ramble/not care about accuracy. Oxy probably would help me the best...have like 300% confidence, and I could speak easy knowing the edge if off...im confident...and im well prepared...plus ontop of that a bit of creativeness is always slid in while on oxy.

Opiates give me alot of confidence.

Pop like 25 or 30mg of hydrocodone so you got a good high going.

Or snort some oxy like nitrous said.

Vicodin gives me enormous amounts of confidence and energy, and stimulates the most creative part of my mind - resulting in amazingly successful presentations and interviews. Don't overdo it though, if you do too much it will have the opposite effect.

How about a medicinal dose of a benzo? That's kind of what they're for.

Couple beers/shots and some Adderall will do the trick. Really though you should just have a coffee and man up and do it sober. Public speaking is a fucking great skill to have.

edit- Stay away from the stims. You don't need to shake and vibrate all the way across the room while you're trying to present.

this is a good idea. but dont take too much just enough to get a buzz.

I find that Tramadol (Ultram), which is kinda like an unscheduled opiate-light, helps with my anxiety over things. I presented a project in front of class with it, and normally I get nervious about that stuff, but here I didn't. It makes you happy and anxiety free without clouding your judgement. Only problem with it is if you take them too early and have too much, you'll get rather drowsy, but that's like 12+ hours after.

Take the Adderall. I know it seems like it'll make your anxiety worse, but I'm an anxiety sufferer myself, and I take Adderall now and it helps me a great deal more than benzos did for the type of anxiety that I had/have. The increase in confidence and improvement in cognitive function will render your performance anxiety (fear of failure etc.) non-existent.

Adderall will give you a little more confidence. Also being prepared is the best thing, if you aren't prepared that will make you a lot more nervous. Just chill and give the speech.

Best bet is to stay sober and just take calm breaths...

After all, public speaking/presentations aren't going to stop once this is over. No matter what you do in life you'll be interacting with people, selling something, presenting, etc..

Better to get experience now, even use it as a learning experience if it goes bad, than to use a substance as a crutch. But if your hell bent on using something to take care of the anxiety, a low dose of opiates or therapeutic dose of benzos.

Xanax or Valium

My drug when I want to be confident and articulate is not smoking weed for 2 weeks. That normally has my brain back in normal human-being-mode. Easier said than done, though. And when I've been getting caned every day (like now) I'm just really unexpressive and unable to get anyone to relate to me. I realise this isn't overly helpful in terms of your question, but still. A bit of mindless semi-on-topic rambling never hurt anyone.
