I know lithium isn't an anti-depressant, but a mood-stabilizer. However, I have a question about the interaction between the lithium and Valium I take. I'm prescribed both. I take 5mg Valium 3x a day and I've just been prescribed Lithium...2 450mg a day so that would be 900mg a day.

Now is the Valium going to affect the mood-stabilization process of the Lithium?

I have had doctors totally fuck me over in the past though and put me on all sorts of meds that just didn't make sense to prescribe with one another. Then I would go to another doctor who would take me off some, mix them up with new ones...just blatant errors in some cases. One of my doctor's asked me once who was prescribing me all this medication...and it was him prescribing them.

I was just hoping that someone on here had maybe the same experience. Cause it's just something I'm wondering now that I read about Lithium a bit more.

I've never noticed benzo's have any effect on lithium - and yes, I am prescribed it.
