I already posted this in the drug testing thread, but I need it answered today, so I'm posting this here. I need to know if it will be ok to take 4 vicodin tomorrow. I'm on probation and just met my PO a few days ago. He drug tested me (used a dip-stick) on the spot and i came up for opiates, amphetamines, and there was a very faint line for cannabis.

I told him that I was on adderall, and that i had taken some of my parent's fiorinal (w/ codeine) a few days ago. I was taking 4 - 6 fiorinal a day for about a month straight, maybe a bit less. I hadn't taken any fiorinal for 6 days and i came up positive for opiates.

Now I'm wondering if I got a positive for opiates because of the fiorinal, or possibly because of the 4 vicodin i had taken that morning.

Can anyone help me out?

It was the codeine, for sure to fail on a standard, unless of course you diluted it. Hydrocodone can cause positives but I've passed before taking tabs, pretty sure you've got to eat a good bit to fail.

Depends on what drug test most likely it was just the codeine. NIDA-5 only tests for opiates, since Hydrocodone is an Opioid it won't show up on a standard drug test.
