A lady friend of mine decided she wants to drink for basically the first time (her alcohol history is 3/4 of a glass of champagne on a new yrs eve) so I'm looking for opinions on what I should get/make her. I think either a desert wine or some top shelf mixed drink would be best.

I have an empty Tanqueray Rangpur Gin bottle that she likes the aroma it gives off, and I really like it with pomegranate juice. Can any ladies here say whether or not they would recommend it? Or guys bearing witness to girls liking/disliking it? I've never been able to decide if it's more of a guy's drink or girl's drink or both. I've had their Rangpur and #10 but not the Imported London Dry. I know #10 is the best, but would Rangpur or London Dry be better if I can't drop $35 on the #10?
If I don't do anything with that I'd probably just get a pretty good vodka and some juice. Again girls: whats ur favorite combination there? She doesn't really drink soda, so that's why I'm looking for good juice options.

If I get a desert wine instead, what are some specific ones that I should consider in the $20-25 per 750 range? Preferably pink over yellow.
