It's a rather unknown and untested method for drug delivery, so there won't be much information on what drugs work best with DMSO or in what concentrations of DMSO/drug. Only experimentation will be effective to know more about DMSO as a delivery system since the solute/solvent/cell membrane interactions are unpredictable. I'm planning to begin experimenting with DMSO as a vehicle for amphetamine salts (Adderall IR). I don't expect it to make the amphetamines ridiculously more potent, but I should get an idea of what concentrations are safe for the skin. My real goal, however, is to test various tryptamine compounds.

Anyone have personal experience with it?

It's something that can only be tested on humans because of skin composition and other factors of pharmacokinetics. This goes doubly so when you talk about using it to deliver psychedelics. I'm not too concerned about OD'ing or anything like that, the main concern is toxicity to skin (which I already have some idea of, there is research on that). The thing that no one really knows about is the optimum concentrations for individual drugs.

Some promising stuff here. Seems like DMSO + sublingual would be the best route. DMSO itself isn't that harmful btw, especially under the tongue where there really isn't that much fat for it to dissolve. I'll definitely be going ahead with my experiments and testing 80-99.99% DMSO and starting low with various compounds. I'll try to compare freebase and salt form as well.

There seems to be some connection between DMSO and Ave2...perhaps you can tell me what that's all about Ave? Meta banned you for a week because you mentioned it in the phenylalanine thread. And yea, people have mixed it with lsd and put in on doorknobs and such with ensuing luls.

Alright, so first test went pretty well actually. After deciding that I did not want to simply crush up an adderall and get the dye and binders in my bloodstream, I did an a/b extraction with 4 10mg generic blue IR pills to get some white crystalline amphetamine HCl. I used just enough solution of 85% DMSO to dissolve the crystals/powder and quite reluctantly dropped the foul oyster-smelling solution under my tongue. Within a few seconds I could feel a powerful rush and A LOT of euphoria. My body felt weightless and it was quite enjoyable. I can't really compare it to other amphetamines, but it was definitely a lot more powerful than parachuting 80mg of adderall with no tolerance. The high only lasted for a little over an hour and the crash was pretty bad.

This test was pretty much just to test the whole principal of DMSO drug delivery for myself and I would say that it certainly is a comparable method to shooting something, but without the hassle of needles and gives more versatility. Later on I will try a psilocybin extraction and see if i can get a stronger trip out of less material by tweaking the DMSO concentrations. I could try DMT instead, which would be faster and easier to do, but I want to test out an alcohol-based extraction of psilocybin.

DMSO is not superultraextremely effective like everyone bullshits. it does not transfer ever-y-th-ing into your bloodstream at the speed of light, and it just really isn't easier than snorting or injecting.

nicotine patches use DMSO.... what if you could make a transdermal cocaine patch? Or a CFT patch? Holy shit that would be so cool, it would last 10hrs+ if you could fit enough coke in it (>.5g pure... or a hundred mg of CFT hahaha)

I want to try this with butane hash oil, has anyone else tried it or do you think it will work? You can get like a liter off of ebay for like 15$ which is a great fucking deal if it works.

Your not thinking that there may be more than just 2 things passing through your skin... your looking at various bacteria also passing through that ordinarily wouldn't....

do you think dissolving my hash oil in everclear and drying it out will kill all the bacteria in it and make it "safe"? I would obviously use sterilized equipment and latex gloves for all of this.

DMSO gives you garlic breath and sucks as a transdermal when using large quantities. Dries out your skin, and leaves you itchy if you don't strip down and sponge yourself with water for the following half hour after application.

It isn't the bacteria that you should be worried about, it's about every other fucking thing in that hash oil that is about to be absorbed into your skin that shouldn't be. Only use pure solvents and substances.

Human skin, at any given time, hosts a myriad of microscopic organisms on its surface.

"They" don't harm you, because your skin does its job. It doesn't fucking matter how much you wash your hands, you will not be able to "sanitize" your skin completely.

But if you feel lucky, go ahead, give it a whirl. Its not likely that something will squeeze through that your body wont be able to handle. But there are countless blood born pathogens, i would not want to be in contact with... in the presence of DMSO.
