They love you when you're on all the covers, when you're not they love another
Today I learned yet anothe valubale lesson in the wonderful word of dating females.
Pretty much in a nutshell I got banned from my racing circuit. I just got the letter and of course I fired off an appeal. Pretty much they cited some crimes I was aquitted of as the reason I was banned from racing again.
My girlfriend that I thought liked me for who I was, not my semi celeberty status left me.
Basically there are lots of pretty ones, but all the pretty ones will leave you alone and blow your mind.
It is probably a good thing she left though. It is obvious she did not even know me in the first place and the relationship was starting to fail. I was even considering a break up on mutual terms so both of us would not have any attachment that would haunt us.
My game plan about being banned from the circuit is comming back next year under a fake name, winning the series, then revealing who I am even though that will cost me the title. It would be a suiting end to that part of my life.
Off to heavier training.

Re: They love you when you're on all the covers, when you're not they love another
Sounds like a good plan. The worst thing is, you never know if the other person really loves you... or just wants someone who will care for them, fuck them, buy them shit.

Awesome plan. Just make sure you wear a mask the whole time, so that when you take it off at the end of the movie, it'll be really dramatic and everyone will be like "Holy shit, I thought it might be him all along, but I never thought he'd actually do it!"

Yeah. In the process he'd meet some girl who loves him even though he's a nobody; and when at the end he reveals his face, she finds out how awesome he in fact is; his old girlfriend wants him back, but he tells her to "fuck off" and walks off with his new girl into the sunset.
Or something along those lines.

I'm glad you got away from that negative unhappy bitch. She would have only brought you down in the end. Leeches can be put into into the "many more fish in the sea" term. Sometimes you get a fish that is by your side and then sometimes you get a leech which is only along for the ride because it's available and seems convenient at the time because they gain out of it.

Re: They love you when you're on all the covers, when you're not they love another
What type of racing?
endurance XC on the semi-pro level. I was scheduled to bump up to pro next season.
I'm still contemplating what to do. I am going to get dumped by my sponsors fairly soon because I won't be able to race so I guess priority one is find a new rig. As for my social life I figure there are girls out there that like me for who I am, not what promoters make me look like.
Soon as this foul weather clears up I plan to be logging 40-60 miles daily. That should definately help.
Numjum is butthurt because I did not send him any money after he lied about his paypal account.

Re: They love you when you're on all the covers, when you're not they love another
endurance XC
I hate to burst your bubble, but mountain biking doesn't qualify as "semi-celebrity". Sure it takes talent and it's fun, but it's far from a well-known or watched sport.
Besides, you're not really a celebrity unless people know your face, not just your name.
Of all the friends I have, the most successful ones don't use their fame to get laid. Granted this is only like half a dozen hockey players, but two in the NHL, one who played on Canada, and one on his way to the NHL, and they've always picked up women by other means, although sometimes playing the hockey card to reel them in. The other two, while very talented, are only playing NCAA and have always been big showoffs and used any trick they can to get laid.
For me though, it's not the fame that attracts me to powerful women. It's usually their skill, dedication, etc that induces my boner, not the fact that they're well-known or rich.

So I guess showing up and having hords of people come around you and ask how I train, how to improve their riding, and autographs is not semi-celebrity? I never used my status to reel women in, they just seem to come without me even trying. Like I said, promoters make people seem like what they aren't. Thats why I don't like them. MY personal tactic was to feed the crowd so to speak. Simply winning races isn't enough to entertain people. You have to do something else to entertain them. In mycase, I used basic tricks such as rock walks, "no way rey" endos, manuals, and fakies whenever the situation allowed for them.
As for why that girl liked me, I don't know and it i probably a better thing that she left because it appears the only reason she liked me was because I had things going for me. As for a semi-pro being rich, all I have to say is yeah fucking right. After 1 1/2 seasons, I only got about $1200.00 out of it. The rest went into parts that sponsors wouldn't cover, licensure fees, and transportation. I still plan to pull a season next year under an alias and I plan for it to be last. I guess the only reason I want to do it is so I can go out on my own terms instead of some paper pusher with a stick up his ass making a decision without looking at the full picture or what really went down.
Or maybe I should just say fuck it. I went on a ride earlier today on a borrowed bike with an old teammate of mine. He had some interesting things to say that I am still thinking about. Shit, maybe I should just start pursueing other things that got cut off by spending most of my time training. I simply don't know and I am still contemplating what I should do.

Do your "going out with a bang" thing, seriously. I think if you don't you will regret it later. Also, aren't these experiences what we live for?
