So I picked up a couple stamps of H for 20 each. Inside the bags contain white flat pebbles that break up really easy into a super fine powder. Ive been snorting up some of it up until now, its pretty good. I want to try smoking it, but I dont know if its in the right form or not. Should I try vaping it with a light bulb? Chase the dragon? My dealer said that he only snorts it hence thats what he thinks I should do. When I smoke it should I break it up of leave it as pebbles? And NO, im not injecting, im not that far gone.

dont inject. you can snort or smoke occasionally and not worry about it. but once you start banging, ur pretty much fucked.

you might be able to smoke it. if its east coast powder H its better to either rail it or bang it because it's a hydrochloride salt and its vaporization point is much closer to the temperature where it gets destroyed, so unless you have the temp perfect you might burn some of it away. west coast tar is freebase H, not bonded to a HCL ion so its vaporization point is farther from the temp where it gets burned and allows you a margin of error in temp when you're heating it.

to be honest I don't know if you can smoke east coast powder H. i was gonna post the same question myself. next time i come across some i am planning on trying with a lightbulb vape, seeing as the curve of the bulb has a lot of surface area for heating and its completely enclosed so no vapor is wasted. try it and get back to us.

I'm sure that if you cant smoke it directly, you can do something to it to make it smokeable, I'm sure SN or somebody will shed some light on this.

i believe european powder can be smoked but US cant.

but if you're willing to risk it then just throw some on foil and chase away.

you would have to prepare a strongly basic solution with sodium hydroxide and water, add the H and shake, then add a non-polar solvent like toluene or xylene, agitate but not shake as not to cause an emulsion, then let it settle for a few minutes. then, decant off the nonpolar layer and save it. then add more solvent, agitate, wait, and decant. add the two portions of solvent to each other and stick it in the fridge. come back later and H freebase crystals should form. filter and dry.

at least, this is what I would do. SN or JP can verify the vailidy of this procedure. i'm not sure if the H would crystallize in the fridge, but probably. at first i was going to say gas the solvent, but that would leave us back where we started, wouldn't it? so used to cooking you know what.

If you want to smoke heroin#4(H found in stamps all across NE US), you might want to add some caffiene to it (60:40 mixture), then chase like usual.

It's not worth it, you're better off just snorting it.

Depending on the price .07-.2 per bag(10-20 buck stamps, thats just my experience). I don't think it's really worth it to do some chemical stuff with a few bags IMO. Also if its from the East coast, 95% chance it's salt.

wow all this talk about salts and freebase... Honestly I still dont know what it is. I made a pretty effeicent light bulb vape and it seemed to get me nodding the fuck out for the past 4 hours. The high doesnt last as snorting though. the white powder is now this black-oil resenous substance on the bottom of the bulb. I can re heat this and get high again for a good amount of time.

^^ this. I have no idea what the solubilities of freebase H are in various np solvents, but thermal monosolvent recrystallization would be very, very dependent on them, to rather a precise margin. ;)

Of course, if the solubility curve was off, then - unless it was miscible in all parts, which would suck - an evaporative recrystallization (NOT "evaporation to dryness") would probably drop nice, huge shards of freebase H.

;) Drop a bump in 40ccs of distilled water, draw up in needleless syringe, put drop on pH paper, squirt rest up nose.

If one has to, pH papers can be made from certain varieties of cabbage, or a number of fine flowers.

From my understanding, and I could be wrong about this, west coast Tar is made by taking opium => cleanup (defat) => acetylate, where as east coast Powder is made my taking Opium => cleanup (defat) => Morphine extraction => acetylate => addition of HCL.

I have also heard of people smoking powder by chasing it on foil, but like most have already said, you will probably lose some in the process.

hey JP, is sodium bicarbonate a strong enough base to liberate that hcl ion from a molecule of H?

Here's how I smoke it. Get a little foil, fold it a couple times and make a square, not too thick though. Put the powdered H on the foil, add a little water and spread it on the foil (LITTLE WATER TINY BIT, 2 drops maybe). Let foil dry, put lighter to bottom of foil and suck the smoke through a straw.

It should... the base is sodium metal, which is pretty fuckin' competitive, so all the Cl has to do is outcompete carbon dioxide...

but once you start banging, ur pretty much fucked.
