2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
My hallucenogenic use has involved LSD, mushrooms, 2ce and ketamine/dxm if you can count that.
I have never thought about the concepts of perceptions and misconceptions on any of these other hallucenogens aside from 2c-e. This drug has opened my eyes completley to this. I've known about it forever but never thought about how I can a) not let it work to my disadvantage and b) make it work to my advantage.)
Basically, Perception is King.
1)Anything that anyone says or does can be misinterperted for something else.
2)Anything that is in reality negative can be looked at as positive using the right words.
3)Anything that is in reality positive can be looked at as negative using the right words
Misinterpertations can happen because of a 1000 different reasons. These reasons can be based off of a person's past personal experience w/ similar situations, ones tone/facial features, ones emotions carying into tone/facial features, etc. 100s of different reasons.
How to combat perception/misconceptions:
Do not overanalyze others words and actions too deeply. You could quite possibly be misinterperting their actions and they could also be doing a shitty job at making their point clear. You are not a fucking mind reader. If it appears that people are dicks, awkward or depressed social misfits, there is no reason to judge them immidiently and block them out of your life. There is also no reason to blame yourself for their actions and feel insecure.
Make yourself clear, people aren't fucking mind readers. If you have figured out something in your head and only verbalize one or two details, people won't know what your talking about. You need to make your point clear but also concise.
There are about 1000 different things to analyze this concept on but I can't write down a good 50% of what I now know..hard to explain.
The point of the post:
One time I was talking to a friend who I gave the drug to and we both told each other that this drug really opened awareness to perceptions. I then started a theory based off the loose evidence that when one thing happens while another thing happens that it must be proof :)
All the people that I've given to I've asked them the following question "2c-e makes you think how of perceptions"
They all get wide-eyed and are like shit I've thought about that too on 2c-e!
Never on the other shit.
Anyone else see this? Or is this just coincidence.
I only want 2c-e users to respond, or hallucenogenic users who have thot about perceptions.
edit- ya, suicide mouse forsure this is all common sence, and so is literally 99% of everything I "learn" about on hallucenogens. It is amazing to see how I choose to ignore these things and then drugs open it up.

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
Never done 2c-e but I've done shrooms and around a grand worth of K to myself.
Definitely thought of everything you've said, though you do realize it's all just common sense, you just "Saw" and "Experienced" it and now it seems much more important.
Don't worry though, I freaked out about it too when I first started thinking about perceptions and the misconceptions that are caused by them. I also wrote it down quite similarly to you.

i completely understand the pattern recognition over analysis you are talking about.
but i understand it that people have mental thoughts which are very very difficult to communicate, particularly in the limited language of our time. Makes it hard for me to believe why evolution has not make a single being with telepathy. Words are crude in their intentions......
The world, is like a whole bunch of nearly-blind people trying to paint pictures, lost souls list in the thick fog stumbling around seeing at arms length, handicapped.
Your last comment has spelling mistakes and is asinine.

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
I do 2c-e frequently solo and I don't really get that deep into thoughts. I just like to chill outside and enjoy nature and think about the existence of things around me, listen to good music, watch good movies, turn on blacklights and draw with highlighters. I guess everyone does different shit when they trip, I don't like thinking too deep, I've got too much shit going on in my life and the last thing I want to pop up is my problems during a wonderful trip. Most of your post doesn't make alot of sense to me but this is what I do when I use 2c-e.

You think? Do you ever do 2c-e? If so, how much do you dose? What makes you think he has 2c-i?

as i respect to the fact that a standard 2c-i dose is higher in mg. then 2c-e.
Im assuming what he took was way more then 20mg. Thus what he took is not what he thinks he took.

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
BTW I know this is off topic but it is RC related, could anyone take a guess at what RC was in a batch of K that I later assumed had an unknown RC in it based on these effects (Note, it was in the K so these effects were on top of the effects of K):
Things changed color fluidly (like entire rooms) as if the lighting was being changed from normal to red to blue to green etc but slowly not on and off, more of a transition.
My emotions got extremely strong as if all of them were amplified by at least 6x, most noticeably love and empathy.
Mostly everything moved, like, as if everything was scrolling while staying where it was.
I felt a little like I took E or some Amp but definitely not either of the two, something just felt familiar.
I would say it felt similar to shrooms, but it would be less true then would feel necessary to say "like shrooms" and more true to say I was insanely "in touch" with nature.
Nausea was notably higher then anything usual with K.
Any guesses would be appreciated, I just know it wasn't just K and I don't really have any experiences with RCs.

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
I would say 2C-B for everything except the shrooms part.
When I take 2C-B I almost get a feeling of X but not quite. And I also get lots of different color transitions such as reds and greens and everyonce in a while blues. Lights seem to have different colored halos above them. I get the scrolling effect too also sometimes swirling, mostly on carpets and ceilings. Walls don't seem to do as much. Stuff sometimes almost gets a 'crawling' effect to it. How long did the effects last suicide mouse?

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
Well like I said, the "shrooms part" was more of just the closeness to nature feeling that I got on shrooms and less like shrooms as a whole.
Thanks a lot for your input though, I really want to try it again and it's a little hard to find something when you don't know what your looking for.
EDIT: Yeah I got the "halos" you're talking about if you mean like hazy rings of light kinda like squinting at a street light and I missed out on mentioning that it was also swirling and waving of the patterns on the wall (It was wallpapered) as well as the ceiling which had holes all over it which made the movement noticeable but the "scrolling" seemed the most consistant. I would say it lasted an hour or two more then the K with lesser effects for about 3 hours-ish so I guess I was feeling peak effects for 2 to maybe 3 hours then I guess the comedown lasted around the same time.

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
I'd definitely say 2c-b then dude, probably a low dose of 2c-b if it didn't last around 5-6 hours, its total duration time can be up to 8 hours at the most. I've never got the halos on any other RC and from the other effects you are describing I'm almost sure that's what it was, and it's definitely a great experience. Looks like it's time to bust out the 2c-b tomorrow night.

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
I read up as much as I could find on different RCs and 2c-b definitely sounded like it but so did some others as I recall, plus I couldn't find really detailed effects for a lot of them so I figured asking someone with experience would help.
Thanks a lot cid. Now I know what I'm hunting for :)
I still find it strange that the effects were so strong and noticeable but the length of the trip was somewhat shorter then erowid and you describe. I wonder if it's possible that the comedown off of the K somehow kick started the comedown for the now assumed 2c-b or maybe it just made it feel that way. Either way I'm very interested to try it on it's own.

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
No problem, I'm just telling you based on my knowledge and experience what I think the 2C it was combined with based on what you told me. I don't have experience with ketamine and 2c-b at the same time. You may want to check some of the combination reports on erowid and compare them to your experience. Pope is probably gonna be pissed we keep hijacking his thread MOAR and MOAR ;) Definitely worth a try on its own though

Lol, no it wasn't 2c-i.
I have ordered 2c-e from two different vendors and both are same exact effects, active at 10mg and I regularly dose at 15mg, occasionally 20 and once 25.
There is no giddyness or "fun" perse as 2c-i is supposed to have. The visuals are always nuts and I trip, really, really hard every time I take it.
Anyone else notice the perception thing?

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
I've taken a shitload of 2C chems, LSD, and mushrooms. None of them showed me anything about life that you can't find out without them.
Drugs aren't some magic window to the soul. People just think that because its easy to think you can take fifteen milligrams of a white powder with a terrible taste and two hours later you are guranteed an epiphany. But, it's only an epiphany in the moment. The next day it's just another thought, hardly the groundbreaking revalation you took it for last night.
Drugs are just an excuse. An excuse to make you feel smart for a night, an excuse for you to act the part you have always wanted to play. An excuse for you to ask a stupid question like "2c-e makes you think how of perceptions?"

Re: 2c-e and The Concept of Perceptions and Misconceptions
nahhh dude, i've thought about shit and realized things on drugs that i would never have thought of sober, and they are still influential throughout my life.
although i have also come to divine revelations on drugs and thought the next day "wtf was i thinking?"
