mushrooms and personality
So yesterday I popped boomers for the first time, me and my buddy each took an eighth. It was a great trip, I felt like I really got to know myself a lot more, not to mention some really cool hallucinations involving native american heads and stalin getting punched in the face. We sat out in my gazeebo listening to marley, and I felt like the whole world was just dancing and chilling with us. The trees were singing and the roof was breathing.
Anyhow, I feel like I forgot my personality. WTF? From what my friend who tripped with me is saying, I became a huge asshole. I feel like I lost all compassion for human beings, I just don't care what anyone else thinks anymore. I hate myself for being like this, and I don't feel like fucking up my life. Some tips would be appreciated.

Re: mushrooms and personality
It happens.
When I was sitting in the cinema I forgot how to speak, and had to physically force myself to make a noise from my mouth just so I didn't freak out thinking I would be a mute forever. So I waited til people started laughing and I was like "har.... har".
And I always forget my life, and I look on my life and all the shit I remember isn't me, they aren't my memories, and I feel no love or compassion or friendship for the people I know. Then I began to come down from the peak and was overwhelmed by happiness that I was finally becoming me again piece by piece.
Shrooms, good times.

Re: mushrooms and personality
First off, this isn't exactly an effect of mushrooms. Your trip experience may have catalyzed a change in your perception of things but it's not "shrooms messed up my brain". It's a psychological issue and no one here can really help you without knowing you. You probably shouldn't keep thinking about it and let it get to you, just be yourself and do what comes naturally.

Re: mushrooms and personality
What happened is you experienced what a lot of trippers do: your problems slapped you in the face. Now you've got a couple options: deal with them (they're most likely not just from tripping) and make yourself a better person or bottle it up and have it make problems later. Bottling it up is easier for now, but don't expect to feel too good mentally later. Working through it is gonna cause some stress now, but in the end it's worth it.

Re: mushrooms and personality
"popped some boomers" LOL faggot. You treat the mushrooms like they're a toy, what did you think would happen.... Whole thing sounds made up or greatly exaggerated. Never heard of anyone having that particular problem with shrooms but you definitely deserve it. I hope you have a horrible trip next time.

Re: mushrooms and personality
@Reject: Same thing happened to a friend of mine. She cried though and had a massive panic attack. She was in another situation where it can be hard to talk normally and I think that might have been what triggered it. I know one time while I was baked in a theater I started to wonder if I could talk still, did what you did lol. I really think it's just the whole "You can't talk" feeling in a theater, cause it is kinda like a rule and you generally follow it. Then when you start thinking about it you freak out because how do you test your voice without breaking that rule and pissing everyone off?
Somewhat similar thing happened on K, though differently, I thought I was talking, but I was apparently talking in what sounded to be a different language to everyone else and it took a while before I even realized that no one could understand me. I was trying to tell them about my ideas on collective consciousness and the modern misinterpretation of "God" while I was coming out of a K-Hole.

Re: mushrooms and personality
When I trip shrooms I barely ever say a word. It's hard to get myself to, but even when I do I talk strangely and it doesn't feel right so I just don't. For some reason, almost every time I've tripped I was by myself and I kind of prefer it. I don't say much because I kind of just start observing instead of actually being there. I tell people to ignore me because I'm just spectating and I tell ya what, it feels like Time is finally sitting still with me for a short while.
