So what's with all the hype behind benzos?
So some of you might know that this past march i was put on a plethora of different benzos. Basically, i get 90/5mg Valiums per month; 60/2mg k-pins per month, and 90/5mg chloridiazepoxide tabs per month.
***Long story short on how I got all the meds***
My dad, who's a physician, found an empty adderall capsule in my old room that in an empty shoe box from two years ago. Ive lived away from home for 3 years, at school. Anyways, he threathens to cut me off from support unless I see a shrink. I oblige and see the stupid shrink, who immediately puts me on 300mg seroquel/night for being "manic bipolar". After I threw that shit away, my dad started giving me valium instead, which worked. He then shared this info with my idiotic shrink, who now gives me way way way too many benzos/month.
****
Anywho, what's the hype all about? I don't really even get a good high from them. Rather I feel hung over while on k-pins. Valium are relaxing, but god damn they make me feel like shit for like a whole day afterwards. Because of this I have 100+ valium tabs, 50kpins, and way too many chlorodiazepoxide to count. Everytime I take xans I just get amnesia. Maybe downers aren't for me? Do you people out there actually get euphoria from benzos?

Re: So what's with all the hype behind benzos?
I don't get euphoria from benzos either. Xanax simply made me black out, klonopin which has a much longer half-life does calm me down and takes some of the edge off a normal day. I never quite understood benzo euphoria either but I guess it's simply a care-free floaty feeling with no anxiety, which could be construed as euphoria.

Dude benzos for me are the ultimate chillout pill.
It doesn't change the way i think or feel, it just takes the edge off... how do i explain...
I'm always nervous and stressed out all the time, and just having that weight lifted off my shoulders is enough to make me feel happy.

Benzos are euphoric. Alcohol in a pill. Simple as that.

been there, done that. It's not much better. Weed by itself is much better lol.

I understand that idea. What I'm saying is that they are definitely NOT alcohol in a pill. Alcohol gives me real euphoria. Benzos make me feel shitty and without inhibitions. I don't find benzos to be euphoric in any sense...

Benzos work differently for different people. If you want euphoria get some sort of opiate.

mmmm, pharmaceutical entrepreneur. Lol I Don't think so. Maybe in the future. I'll probably be stockpiling all summer and see after that lol.

Opiates are nice :-) However I kinda have a tendency to abuse them too much when I have access. I took them pretty regularly for about 2 years. I don't really wanna get back into any opes anytime soon. She's the devil!

I dont get high from them but I get fucked up and I think that is what the hype is all about. I will take them from time to time if they are around but they are not something i would want to take everyday due to dependency/addiction issues that come with benzos. Also I have noticed that cannabis may effect benzos and delay them.

Re: So what's with all the hype behind benzos?
1) They relieve stress. If you don't have a very stressed life/personality then they might not seem that great, but if your looking for a vacation in a pill then valium is the way to go.
2) Sleep. Self explanatory. If you have insomnia or need to come down off uppers then they are priceless.
3) There not hard to get, and there not expensive.

Re: So what's with all the hype behind benzos?
Personally, i reckon a high enough dose of temazepam beats the shit out of valium, xanax and nitrazepam.
Pretty much feels like a much more euphoric drunk feeling.

Temazepam never really did much for me as far as anxiolytic properties go...it was always more of a physical sedation than mental, and even then, there wasn't much. I've taken 300 mg at once, by the way.
High-dose Valium is still my favorite benzo-buzz, aside from Flunitrazepam.

They're the most prescribed benzo's down here in aus, though apparently they're a bit more rare on the other side of the pond :p

Yeah, anxiety wise alcohol did more for me.
The physical sedation is what i liked, eat a handful and have a beer or two and i'm in heaven.
That's why i'm so fond of them, on their own they're only slightly better than alcohol but they mix with every other downer brilliantly.

Depends on what type of person you are. As for myself I have a lot of anxiety and they calm me down with the suggested dosage. As far as recreational they give me a great euphoria and make drinking quite easy.

Re: So what's with all the hype behind benzos?
the thing i love most about them is that you dont have inhibitions kinda like when ur drunk. but ur not as sloppy as a drunk would be so you can really sound like your on point.
benzos are the shit when it comes to my mentality. I'm very anxious thanks to a fucked up family life since i can remember.
I got on the k-pins about 1.5 years ago and i smoked weed on them daily. i became fearless in terms of my social life, but i lost tons of thinking ability, memory, and apatite. i lost about 30 lbs and i was 145 when i started them.
basically they fucked me right. they feel great, tho. I still dabble with them every now and then if they are around but i dont like to take too many of them because i get into the habit pretty easily.

Yeah pretty much this..
It can get real easy to reach for the pill... I would black out for entire weeks it seemed like, nothing was real so it helped alot socially, but it also fucked up my grades alot

Lorazepam/diazepam have descent effects for me. I love em. Catch me while im on them and Im bound to be on some type of excursion to do something.
The rest, klonopins have a descent effect but nothing compared to the above 2, xanax is just zombieness in a pill. Bromazepam is violence in 6 mg form.

Out of all benzos i've taken, kpins give me the worst feeling. I feel like complete shit on kpins. Valium are decent i suppose, kpins make me feel like i want to puke usually, but without actual nausea.
Personally, i reckon a high enough dose of temazepam beats the shit out of valium, xanax and nitrazepam.

eh, I've never tried temazepam. Is it really that much different? Most benzos seem very similar to me in respect to physiological and phycological effects.
1) They relieve stress. If you don't have a very stressed life/personality then they might not seem that great, but if your looking for a vacation in a pill then valium is the way to go.
2) Sleep. Self explanatory. If you have insomnia or need to come down off uppers then they are priceless.

I can understand they're use for sleep, and ease of access. Maybe what I'm off on is the stress part or something. I have stress, balancing college and chem research is a bitch. I also have definite anxiety issues. However, for some reason I'd rather be anxious than take a benzo almost most of the time. I admit I take my valium or kpins probably at least 2-3 days a week. Sometimes anxiety gets the best of me. The physical feeling while on benzos is almost equivalent to a hang over for me for some reason. They do nothing as of a real "drug high" for me in any sense.
....
Yeah, anxiety wise alcohol did more for me.

Benzos and alcohol is much better than benzos alone, i agree. Sometimes i get a little carried away tho lol, then black out. First time it happened I woke up the next day with a ton of liquor in my car... no clue where it came from. Not to mention the next day I feel like shit. I guess my 4 years of extensive drug use and abuse has still kept me at the low low level of a "pussy". hah
yeah totally but have you heard about this amazing thing called the postal service? you can like send stuff to people across the world, its gonna revolutionize the earth.
eh maybe. All i'm gonna say is: [username] - @ - gmail.com I've been on these boards for a good 3 years at least, I think I can find some trustable folk.
anxiety and theyll ground you if your having a hellish trip
id advise against taking them i know many a people who take them and I now classify them as xanny heads.
Yeah basically the best use I can find from benzos are for trip purposes only. Maybe panic attacks or strong nerves, but still they don't give a high. Why do people like them so much!?!?!?!
Lorazepam/diazepam have descent effects for me. I love em. Catch me while im on them and Im bound to be on some type of excursion to do something.

hmmm.... Have you had first hand experience with bromazepam? Just curious, from what little you described of it, it sounds pretty intense. Don't worry, i'll be researching myself ;), so no erowid comments are necessary. Just wanna hear a first hand experience....
