So I went on wikipedia and found that alcohol acts on GABA just like benzos do. At the same time, I know there are a lot of GABA receptors, so they could be completely different. So, to those who know first hand, how similar are benzos to alcohol?

Somewhat, it's really hard to explain but they are actually quite different. Though they have similarities, such as some of the feelings and a loss of inhibitions.

When I was addicted I mainly drank along with doing clonazepam so I had a mixed experience of the two.

From personal experience, benzo's are more sedating and anxiety relieving. While alcohol makes you act like a tool, and generally just be wasted, although it can be more "fun". Benzo's are more like a medicine, while alcohol is purely recreational.

From my experience, they're pretty similar. You have too much of either, and you'll end up making an idiot of yourself and regretting it later. Only difference is that with benzos, you won't have a hangover the next morning.

I've found a small-medium dose of both will suffice. You won't feel overly drunk, or get the spins or throw up, and the benzos just complement that alcohol so fucking much. People heed this advice!

2) people say i walk like im drunk, but i dont feel drunk..
3) it could carry over to the next mourning if u take enough, as in you might still feel it(i mean if u take it late at night)
4) despite what everyone else say i have an alright memory of the times i do them

But, yea. I'm a fan of the sauce, but not the brain damage. I was hoping benzos could give me the buzz w/o the nasty effects. Booze puts out the fire in my brain, and what I am hoping is that benzos will too.

Lol, I usually just snort bars, and if I take a couple too many, I end up blacking out for a couple hours, and I totally have no idea what happened.

It's nice when you do it right, though. Last weekend, I had 10 bars for the day after I did an eight-ball. I snorted about one at a time, the 2 mgs, every once in a while.

Xanax isn't to be snorted since it's not water soluble. You're just wasting them.

Xanax = under tongue until they're gone.

Fucking NASTY ass taste, but it's worth bearing.

Benzos always provide the best stories.

A guy I know tried to fist fight a cop that pulled him over (apparently he was driving VERY slowly, and swerving all over). Think he said he was on 6mg of Xanax at the time.

Spent a few days before bars for that one :D
