BLTC - I need help!
How do I store ether? I heard I need some Iron salts, but will an Iron nail suffice? I guess not. Where do I find iron salts around the house?
EDIT: I found some sodium hydroxide, will this work?

Re: BLTC - I need help!
I don't know what yo have it in now, or how long you're storing it for, but when my friend snagged some from the chem department at my school, he just kept it in a glass beaker with a rubber stopper. Stayed put for a week, with only about a quarter of an inch evaporating (and that was probly due to use opening it frequently to get a quick whiff).

Re: BLTC - I need help!
Just keep it in a glass bottle with a rubber or cork (rubber prefferable) stopper. Keep it away from any kind of heat sources or sparks.

Re: BLTC - I need help!
I just put some sodium hydroxide in.
"Diethyl ether hydroperoxide decomposes in the presence of sodium hydroxide and Fe2+ containing salts."
I'm trying to stop peroxides.
I guess problem solved?

this and something (after you do some research) to stop peroxide formation, unless you want the bottle to explode in your face when you open it :)

Your such a dumbass, he blatantly told you what school he went to. fucking retard. What I cant figure out is why a business school would have a chemistry lab, who knows.

Re: BLTC - I need help!
stabilize it with methanol
if the nail is rusty, yes, that is a salt of iron.
