Two weeks ago I had the worst trip of my life, it was potentially one of the worst days of my life, too.

But, I learned moar from that then any experience in my life, so it was worth it for sure.

I now feel like there is nothing moar I can gain (for the time being) from hallucenogens from an introspective standpoint.

Many, many people feel like hallucenogens should be "treated w/ respect" "used for enlightenment only" "not used to get fuxx0rd" but, I do notice that when I take hallucenogens..I HAVE FUN! I trip nuts.

I was wondering what you all thought of this, based on the fact that a) my life is going to turn the fuck around, incredibly. I've already done so much..its amazing/weird. b) I don't think hallucenogens can teach me any moar at this point in my life c) they are still fun regardless.

If you were in my situation, would you continue to use for fun, or do you believe that hallucenogens are not for fun strictly for learning.

I would do what makes me happy.

I kind of feel like that. It seems like hallucinogens have taken me as far as they can and I have to make it the rest of the way myself.

Nobody said they had all the answers, they're just the keys. Sometimes I will just eat a little bit of shrooms or maybe 2 or 3 hits of L and just have fun. It's kind of nice, and I still get moments of revelation.

If the ethics of taking hallucinogenic substances are of concern, try considering one's self ethics. IMO they should be similar. ;)

When it comes to the point where hallucinogens have altered your brain so much that you spell more like MOAR then you know it's time to put a stop to it.

Alan Watts, philosopher and 60s drug-user said something like "Drugs can help show the path to enlightenment, but once shown, one must walk it himself". I have the same feeling myself. Once you feel as if there's nothing else to be gotten from a drug, give it up. Hallucinogens are fun, but they're not to be taken for a good time. Alcohol, marijuana and plenty of other drugs are "good time" drugs.

sounds like you need to space yourself out. its not a good idea for some people to take pyschs impulsively. as far as spiritual and elightenting vs. just for fun, it all depends on your mind state and the drug your taking (since i know you fucking with rcs), they all have different kinds of trips, your fucking with 2-ce and thats more of an elightening trip than a fun goofy trip like 2cb. well good luck, keep some shit around for bad trips.

Why not do both? Part of the time just relax another part do your introspective shit.

Introspection my ass. I had a hell of a good time tripping and drinking OJ and marveling at the wiccan mayday celebration unfolding before my eyes. Also falling towards the sky and watching the little daisies wink at me.

real enlightenment is completely beyond any concept of fun

little insights like, "ohhhhh I GET IT! desire is the root of all suffering!" will help you out but that's not what enlightenment actually is

Nothing wrong with taking hallucinogens for fun. For example, marijuana, which has weak hallucigenic properties, is often smoked by newcommers to the world of drugs because they think it gives them introspection. Then they get all they can out of that introspection, then continue using marijuana for fun, and perhaps try LSD a few times to gain more introspection while having fun with marijuana at the same time. Nothing wrong with taking LSD for fun each weekend, aslong as you understand the possible mental health risks to that. Most people say that LSD is risk free unless your family has a history of mental illness, however this is not always true when taking it each week, but because of the very few users who end up doing that, LSD is generally regarded as safe and not habit forming. But LSD is a very positive - negative drug, it can go either way. If drugs can have a negative impact on ones life, by the laws of physics, they can also have a positive impact on your life. Perhaps taking LSD each weekend will make you want to live life to the fullest, or it could make you apathetic towards social status and money aslong as you have love, etc.

I say go for it.
