Diphenhydramine is the active ingredient in Benadryl, and I was wondering if anyone knew of its health effects when you take like 300mg. I have looked around the internet a bit, but haven't been able to find much. I'm not talking about the short term effects, i want to know about the long term, or permanent effects. Especially with frequent use.

Like most drugs, it'll probably fuck with your liver. I really don't recommend fucking around with Benadryl on a regular basis, you might as well use your money and liver powers on something good.

300mg is pretty safe, ive heard of people taking more than a gram of it and being fine...

wouldn't recommend it though, don't do it for the fun of it. if anything do it only for the experience. there is nothing fun about delirium.

More then a gram is perfectly safe, I've been there, only time I've ever puked because of a drug. I would only recommend 300mg, any higher and it gets pretty bad...

Doesn't surprise me. Even on that 1.2 grams, I didn't visually hallucinate, or really even get any visual disturbances, but I did have fairly severe amnesia, and I did hallucinate sounds. I was yelling at people that were talking to me, I knew they weren't real, I knew they weren't there, but they were so damn annoying!

I did 600mgs, and was tripping out for 12-18 hours. I dont remember when i started tripping, but it didnt end for a long time. You lose all sense of time. Your confused as fuck, and you hallucinate every 10 seconds and think everything is fine. You dont even know your hallucinating. Your legs become heavy as fuck. Its insanely hard to walk. I was constantly tripping over things on the floor.

Its the most fucked up thing ive ever experienced. Would i do it again? No. Did i enjoy it? Yes and No. It really is "Dreaming while your awake".

If you choose to do it, start out with lower doses and definatly get a trip sitter willing to take care of you for even 24 hours. The effects take awhile to kick in. Dont do what i did, and just take all 600mgs at once. That was stupid. Dont do it unless your not afraid of going to the hospital/dying.

Diphenhydramine fucked me up, i highly recommend against it. Its fun and all, but i still have the "line" hallucinations two months after stopping use.

I was quite paranoid, but I wasn't seeing dead friends or dreaming up crazy ass shit and playing with it. Also, it's OTC. Its margin for safety is far beyond what you might expect. It's like DXM. If you do over 2 grams, expect to see problems, 1 gram is nothing.

Why are you people such fucking pussies? Seriously, 600mgs is nothing. It's fucking OTC. Its margin for safety is insanely large. I would say go for taking all 600mg at one time if you want to forget a night for the most part. Personally, start with 300, and go from there.

It's a MILD sedative. It makes you feel alright. Not quite high, but just calm and shit like that.

I get a weird shitty "Hangover" if I take alot (around ten). The next morning, I had the worst dry-mouth i've ever had. I also felt like every time I blinked, I would fall asleep.

While you're on it it feels like you're dreaming.
