So I just took 50 mg's of hydrocodone. I took a benadryl 30 minutes before I took them. I'm scratching myself raw here, does anyone have a suggestion?

I'm also really pissed for no reason. Every time I take an opiod I get really moody, can someone explain to me why this is?

Do you mean opiod? Because a lot of opiods, codeine and hydrocodone in particular, release a large amount of histamines. So much that quick administration (IV) of them is actually very uncomfortable. Histamines irritate nerve endings (the triggers of itching and sneezing). You took a pretty hefty dose of hydro so it's not surprising, you should have probably taken more benadryl but still not too much because as you probably know it will fuck you up on it's own (in a shitty way). That's why a lot of people look down on hydro and codeine, most people can't really take large doses of it without the cons outweighing the high.

Most opiates don't cause that much itching.

I don't know how much you take at a time, but less than 30 mg's won't do much for me. Also I'm thinking about taking another one of these good ol' watson 10/500's, although that probably won't help with the itching too much it will help with the fading euphoria. And I did think it through thats why I took the benadryl:p, its just not helping too much. I'm starting to feel a little less itchy.

Thats why I only took one, I hate the shitty feeling that it gives me. I drank an energy drink before I took it also, because I didn't get much sleep last night and I didn't want to be drowsy.

Shower, is all i can say otherwise you have to vietnam it and just sit through the itches. Ive had it bad many a times where i cant even sit and enjoy myself(oxy mainly). Times get tough with the itches....which is my only give away that im on a opiate..all the scratching.

try some calamine how do you stay awake on benydril and hydro? 2 benydrils and I can sleep good all night, adding an opiate seems to me like pass out city. If I take any opiate pills for fun which is vary rarely I take a a small dose like 15 - 20 mg. Then potentiate with small amounts of alcohol. It seems to make me euphoric and I've never really experienced itching. A long time ago I spent all day snorting percs and drinking wine I never itched But I damn sure thought I had done too much by the end of the night. Keep it infrequent thus keeping doses needed small. or shit dig them bugs on out of your arm. I think their winking at you lol

Ever heard of the "junkie ego"? Opiates make people really pissed off. It does it to everyone I know. It's really hard for me not to go from yelling at people to giving hugs when I'm fucked up.

I kinda like the itching. it feels SO GOOD to scratch that itch when on opiates.

I get some crazy itches too when taking percs...but my friend never has and he's snorted twice as much as I had parachuted before.
Yesterday at work, I was coming down off of 30 mg oxy and everything everyone was doing was pissing me off so bad. I told my manager i thought it was the come down, so he suggested I take another one and give him one...good times lol.
