Is this normal? Every time I eat shrooms just after the peak I feel old, worn out, like I'm running out of time, what I imagine it would be like to be a 80-90 old man on his deathbed. This always inspires me to do various things (getting a job, going back to school on some nights) and most of all to get in relationships. Is anyone else affected by shrooms this way? :)

Nope.

I usually just feel like I'm walking back into my house after a long vacation.
Then I usually just close my eyes and drift in my own thoughts for what feels like eternity.

Once, I was coming up on a shroom trip in my friends cabin and I was wearing my friend's grampa's jacket. I felt exactly like a weary old man, like my life was behind me and all I had to look foreward to was death. We were sitting on this huge rock in the rain, and everything around me started melting and deteriorating. It was pretty freaky, but one of the best trips of my life.

But yes, I usually feel inspired to do things in life like "settle down" or plan my life out into the distant future. Take these experiences as guidance, rather than absolute truth or just a trip. They may help you, taken in moderation.

I just get a real burnt out feeling, sometimes get the shivers.

I think I get what you are saying. Though I never feel physically old after a trip, it does sometimes feel like the world is decomposing around me. I don't mean hallucinations, but simply a feeling, as if the world is coming to an end, the clock is running down and I never noticed before.

I think your motivation to do something is very telling. I think your feeling of being old is simply a manifestation of mental stagnation, which is why you get the urge to go out and get new experiences.

Personally, I've found that when I get off my ass and start living more, the trips take a different, more pleasant character, like a distant lover returning to you.

It really just sounds like you are growing up and becoming an adult.
