What drug is this?
I remember the Army was testing it a few years back. It lets you stay up all night, then you sleep at least eight hours the next night and you can take it again. In the article, it said that they hadn't found any adverse health effects yet. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I could use some of that stuff.

Re: What drug is this?
Probably something along the lines of sweet tarts.
Sugar high for the win.
Seriously though, I'm guessing nobody knows what you're talking about right now. More detail is needed.

Re: What drug is this?
first it was adrafilin, then modafilin and now some drug which is just a bunch of numbers and letters...
i have tried the previous 2 mentioned above,
the first adrafinil is gay and works only 3 hours, and makes your sweat have a strong chemical smell reminiscent of an old hospital pharmacy, same goes for your piss.... the smell is noticeable, not putrid, but not something i wish to smell like when interacting with people you want to make a good impression on.
modafinil on the other hand works well, a little to well at first.
and i dont like its pharmacological mode of action, and the long term side effects that come with it....its also dam expensive.
google this to "learn" more:
Alpha1-adrenergic agonists like adrafinil and pricey modafinil ('Provigil', 'Alertec', 'Vigicer', 'Modalert, etc) are centrally-acting agents which can brighten mood and sharpen mental focus. They stimulate the noradrenergic post-synaptic receptors, increase glutamatergic transmission, and activate the wakefulness-promoting orexinergic neurons, thereby boosting alertness, memory and energy. At sensible dosages, they are remarkably free of side-effects. However, the approval process in the USA is so slow, costly and bureaucratic, and the marketing hurdles typically so formidable, that foreign companies are often deterred from seeking FDA acceptance. Thus Servier's neuroprotective mood-brightener tianeptine (Stablon), for instance, is not marketed in the USA because its patent has expired. Adrafinil, by contrast, is at least as successful as hepatotoxic Anglo-Saxon products at treating the cognitive and memory impairments of incipient senility.

Re: What drug is this?
Modafinil is the only thing that comes to mind. I second Ave's modafinil guess. I remember modafinil as having no sleep debt what from I've read. Do you know much about it ave? Just because I'm stoned and lazy.

It is so funny. "Ain't that always the way? Elevator music, a nigger in a kilt, and a chick with a nickel-plated nine."

There would be too much friendly fire/gay sex with Arabs if they administered ambien.

Re: What drug is this?
i remember reading about darpa recreating the hormone your brain produces when its had enough sleep, and you could give it to someone for a while without too many negative side effects, something about it possibly being used to treat narcolepsy as well?

Possibly Orexin A look here (http://gizmodo.com/338459/darpa-developing-sleep+replacing-nasal-spray-opens-the-door-to-20+hour-workdays)
But i doubt it, they haven't done any human tests, just monkeys. Probably won't be on shelves for about a decade.

Dexedrine, codename Go Pills.
Edit: Woops, seem like I replied a few posts up, a bump can't hurt the thread though!
