I know a guy who makes a THC tincture, but he uses ethanol. 200 proof alcohol, in something called a cold finger. It's basically a big, glass pot that you put your solvent in and put it on top of a hot plate. The top of it is very concave to put ice in, and from the part that hangs, you hang a basket. It evaporates the solvent, condenses on the part with ice and drips through your plant matter. Great for making hash, or any simple solvent extraction.
