Last night approx. 630-830 I drank 5 beers. About an hour I was sobering up and took a 15 mg roxy (oxycodone). Felt good and fine, and had been smoking cigs all night (way more than normal). After that, at about 1:30 AM I smoked bud with a friend of mine. I'm usually an every day smoker but didn't smoke all week. After we chiefed we went outside to have a cig. I smoked it, no problem. Right after it was done i began to get very light headed. I sat down and almost passed out, the vision was starting to go, but didnt. My friend made sure I was ok, then we walked inside and I passed out in the kitchen. At first I just got very lightheaded and started to lose my vision. He said I just fell and hit my head and all. I awoke to him shaking me, I thought I just laid down for some reason, had no idea I fell. After getting up literally 1 minute later it happened again, then a third time a few minutes after that. We're both getting very scared at this point and I was pretty out of it because I just lost consciousness 3 times.

After that we went up to his room, turned the lights on and I got some water and I was fine, no more passing out but I had a headache. I think I was fine after the effects of the cig wore off.

WTF did this? I know pills and drinking as a combo is a respiratory depressant, and weed and cigs enhance the effects of pills. But all were taken spread out over time. I should also mention that I have a sinus infection and had been taking ibuprophen and amoxicillin all day

Sounds like your blood pressure got too low or something.

that's really what it felt like. When the light headedness would come on, it would happen quickly. I would try to breathe deeply but that didn't do anything, and 10-15 seconds later, I was out. Very scary when that happens 3 times in 10 minutes

When I fainted due to my blood pressure being too low it was exactly as you described.

Haha yea, when I fainted I was smoking a joint in a really public place in the city, and it was when I was new to it and I just got really anxious and nervous and paranoid, I realise my vision was going, so I leant on a pole cos I thought it was just head rush, but next thing I know I close my eyes and I'm on the floor with my mate like "wtf? Are you all right? Go get him some lucozade". As soon as I closed my eyes I just fell straight forwards to the floor.

Along with low blood pressure let me also state that low blood sugar gives the exact same feelings.

I'd say its probly the blood pressure thing though, unless your an already known diabetic. That being said &Totse is in no means the replacement for any real medical advise, so if it keeps up seek proper medical advice...

The low blood pressure and everything sounds plausible but I'd bet it's just a lack of oxygen. Low blood pressure would be a lot more alarming and serious. Looking at the drugs you were taking it seems highly unlikely.

You were probably just smoking way too much in a short period of time. Sometimes it doesn't even take that much to make you go lightheaded from smoking. I get light-headed a lot when I'm smoking a lot of weed or I'm chain smoking cigs and weed. It's common procedure for me to just kneel down, take a couple deep breaths and wait for my brain to get back in order.

It's also a common misconception that your body notices when it is lacking oxygen. The urge to breathe is actually caused by rising carbon dioxide levels in your blood, not a lack of oxygen. That's why people asphyxiate themselves with nitrous oxide sometimes, their bloodstream isn't being filled with carbon dioxide so they feel perfectly normal. The same can be said about smoke. If it ever happens again just start taking deep breathes of fresh air. It helps a lot.

had you had much substantial food before this? ie: could you have had low blood sugar?

I think you might have just put too much crap through your lungs, and reduced the amount of O2 you were getting.

My advice is to give up cigarettes, man. Just stick with weed.
