I have some mushies that may or may not be moldy. Some of the caps have dark blotches on the top, and some of the stems have a whitish fuzz, and some tan discoloration. I also ground a bag to make tea with and there are some black spots in the bag. Some of the caps have the same white spots on the tops as the stems have. They smell like normal mushrooms and Ive been looking at pictures of other mushrooms and cant tell if mine are moldy or not. Also does anyone have pictures of a moldy dried mushroom? I couldn't find any with google, just moldy growing cakes.

If you could take and then post a picture of them this would be much easier.

The black stuff could be mold or spores, depending on how much there is.

If the dark splotches are bluish or purplish they are probably just bruises, but from your post sounds like you got something goin on

I'd say mold, it happens a lot with shrooms.
Peeps try to dry them and the just end up growing mold.

Those two have whatever it is the worst, there are some others that are similiar but not as bad. Its been like this for a few days and I cant tell if its getting worse.

The stem looks fine to me, I get those little streaks on my stems almost every time. But that white shit on the gills is kind of fucked up. But I've never had moldy shrooms AFAIK so I wouldn't really be able to help you out that much.

I found this picture on erowid that has shrooms with the same white stuff inside the gills of the cap, and Im assuming that if it was mold they would have labelled it as mold or something.

I have other caps with small white stuff on top though, but I didn't bother to scan them because there deep in my closet.

As long as they're cracker dry + a few days they won't hurt you.

no, that is common on mushrooms, they "bruise blue," as some say. They look like the mushrooms that come aournd here and i am pretty sure they are Psilcybe cubensis.

Notice that those also have a blue-black bruising.
Edit: also there are many different sub species of P. cubesis so they may be a little different. P. cubensis is one of the most commonly grown mushrooms and potency can vary from a very intense trip(visual) to a more "head trip."(this is from experience with the p cubensis in az.
I have not seen them in a few year though but that makes me want some mushies :( .

Doesn't look like mold to me. Looks like a scar on the cap from something scraping it, and bruising on the stems.

But it's a crap scan, so I can't be sure.
