Alright, what the fuck? Tonight was the third time this has happened, and I'm fucking sick of it. I really didn't even smoke that much.

Me and my girl used to smoke blunts like that. We seriously used to go through a 50 box or more of phillies a week. One day I must post my blunt wrap/philly neck tie collection because it truly is amazing, because i can honestly say I've smoked a thousand blunts. Atleast.

Usually weed helps me not throw up. There have been times where i smoked like 6-7 blunts(phillies) amongst a few people within a matter of hours and never puked but i sure felt like i was nodding out.

I had a buddy actually black out from smoking a 4th generation blunt. Like he actually fainted. It freaked my parents and cousin out, as we were smoking with my stepdad and cousin. He regained conscious in about 15 seconds. I honestly think it was due to poor circulation, and the nicotine in the blunt.

There's strong evidence to suggest that weed actually prevents vomiting/sickness. I can't be arsed to find the journal now, though; I'll get my girlfriend to find it in a bit if I remember.

You may find it's the quality of the weed - is it mouldy? really old?

It could be the tobacco you're smoking it with.

It could even be the way you're rolling it; if it's a shit roll, it won't smoke properly.

If it keeps happening, I'd suggest you don't smoke. But then, it could be that you're just not used to it; in which case, keep smoking and prevail over those negative symptoms.

Yeah it doesn't matter to me if people throw up, it's not like smoking weed makes you cool, honestly. it is just a fun thing to do that has therapeutic qualities..

If you cough alot when you smoke, that might just be whats causing it, cause ive only blown chunks twice from toking, and that was because the smoke was too harsh and it felt like i was literally going to cough up one of my lungs..... then i threw up all over my girlfriends car... Good times...

Anyway, i might be from coughing too much man, and believe me, i have a lot of experience coughing up a lung, been toking for ~4 years now and i still cough like a noob everytime i smoke, damnable asthma.

When I used to smoke regularly I threw up a few times, most notably on New Years and 4/20...
It can help to eat something before you smoke in the off chance that you get light-headed or nauseous from hunger and being high kicks that into booting mode.

So I met up with a friend and we went to some stoner kid's house. They passed me the bong and I took a single huge rip. Like I used to when I smoked regularly. Immediately my eyes and mouth dried up. My vision began to "vibrate". I had a difficult time walking straight. And then I got paranoid. It's the first paranoid high I've had, and having it with absolutely no tolerance built up, I was freaking out. Plus, I couldn't produce any saliva in my mouth and my mucus glands were kicking into overdrive; I could feel snot pouring down the back of my throat.

So we go back to my friend's house (he drove) and I sit down for a while. I drink a bit of water, then I puke, then I sit and rest for a short bit. I order a pizza, but when it gets there I'm not hungry. I pay for the pizza and rest a bit more, then the fucker says "I'm tired you need to go" and kicks me out of his house, late at night, while having a bad high. Plus, it was a half-hour drive back to my place. So I head home and I thought my tires sounded flat so I pulled into a grocery store parking lot and checked them. They were fine. Then I heard some guys shouting at each other at the other side of the parking lot. I was convinced they were going to come kill me and steal my car so I jumped in and booked it out of there.

So yeah, I've vomited from weed. I think what contributed to my experience was anxiety and not having something to drink until a long time after smoking. Oh, and is it just me, or is my friend a douche?

This happens to me a lot. For some reason I am very vulnerable to weed smoke. I can smoke cigarettes without filters and taking giant hits but weed smoke for some reason triggers something of a gag-reflex if too harsh of a hit is taken. So I sometimes dry heave at the same time as I cough. If I ate then sometimes something comes out :)

This could be it, I remember when me and a friend hot boxed a pop bottle bong in my car, all the windows up, I almost threw up when we went back in the house. I personally think it happens when you have shitty crappy weed, but you smoke a looot of it in one session, big hits, held in as long as you can, like we did with the bong we filled the bowl up hella and said we were not going to stop.. In fact I am very very sure this is the case, the first time I got high, I smoked fire weed out of a hookah and I was so fucking blown I thought I was dead, but take note I had no idea what to expect and didnt think the weed was even doing shit to me until I stood up then bam, it donned on me that I was indeed high, very very fucking high, but had no feeling what so ever of wanting to throw up. When you burn weed the high is more intense, so maybe if you vaporize your weed, which is known to make a "calmer" high, you will most likely not want to throw up, and still have a really strong and cool feeling high.

Invest in vaporizer maybe. Get better weed. Also, I always thought having some 7up or ginger ale, sprite ect handy, helps burp up any smoke you swallowed, if that is even the case. The pop just can make you feel better in general too.

Idk but one time I had a friend over who smokes cigarettes. Anyway we blazed down and I wasn't even that baked yet but he never smokes weed, and he goes and throws up.

Now I personally never smoke tobacco, because when I have smoked before I have thrown up. Only one time out of probably 30 times, but it fucking sucked ass.

Minding that I have never even once come close to throwing up whilst smoking only marijuana.

I'm pretty sure the point has been made and taken, but heres my ten cents anyway.

First possibility:
Some people tend to react oddly to the combination of weed and booze. I don't have a clue how or why, but my buddy is a living paradigm of this shit. Without fail, every time he mixes the two he visits Dr. Latrine, yet he is hardly phased by either one on its own.

Second Possibility:
Like my brother tends to do, you might get a form of the spins, like you get when you lay down after getting trash-drunk, but with weed. Naturally this "distortion" of what you see moving, and whats actually moving makes you sick, like getting carsick when you read a book.

Third Possibility:
You may have, as others have said (Thegreen), swallowed some smoke. The easiest way I see this happening is if you take monstrous hits, but don't "really" inhale. By not inhaling I mean like those kids in the grocery store parking lot smoking cigarettes and just holding it in their mouth. you can tell when they breath out ridiculous amounts of smoke after one puff. This would probably cause you to get air in you esophagus and burp/vomit it out. - or you just have really, really bad smoking technique, which I doubt.

Last one:
Do you smoke cigarettes? I know some people who, due the time dilation thing, tend to chain smoke their cigs, and as we all know, to much nicotine = nausea = not fun.

Pooter, I believe that people mean swallowing smoke as in down the esophagus and thus to the stomach as opposed to inhaling down the trachea to the lung (getting high). Basically you swallow the air (smoke) by the same principle that makes you burp when you eat or drink too fast.

bottom line: swallowing and inhaling aren't the same thing.

It could be the weed you were smoking, but I'm not expert. But I only wanted to share my experience. On the first ever proper smoking a joint, I felt quite ill, mainly nausea. On the way home I dry heaved. It brings back memories of me buying a £10 bag and having it last a weeek between 3 people, now to a £10 bag lasting a couple of hours between 2, mainly 1. It could be the tobacco in the joint also, 'cos everytime i smoke weed with tobacco I always feel terrible and i also can't hit a joint properly, i hate the taste of baccy.
